In other words, the Trump 2016 strategy. Say what you will about the Democratic Party, but they learned a valuable lesson from the GOP primaries last time around. Anyone watching could see the train wreck in slow motion as Trump went along picking up state after state while topping out with about 35% of the vote, but Cruz, Rubio, Graham, Bush etc. we’re all to hardheaded to drop out and consolidate their support around one guy to beat him.

Except that all signs are that Bloomberg siphoned more votes away from Biden than Warren did from Bernie... indeed Bernie wasn’t even the second choice of a decent chunk of Warren voters.

That's definitely true here in Southern California. If you look at certain districts biden was last and bloomberg was second to sanders or in one or two. Districts that are more moderate than the others.
