wow, you're banging on like nobody knows who Joe Biden is.
Look at the turnout. it was big and it was for him.
Yea, he's a gaff prone rambler but he's Shakesperian compared to Trump.
You're vastly under estimating how many Americans would take boring as opposed to Trump, or a revolution for that matter.

we will see I know if I was American I would have a hard time going to vote for biden on electon day. but in the end i would force myself to go wouldnt be doing it with a smile though... still say he loses and wont feel sorry for the party afterwards.

you dont get it do you? the people who lean to trump don't care about the way he talks... the ones deciding the election will see biden sounding like a mentally ill man once the pressure is on and say oh well the economy is good so lets just vote trump anyway. and it will seal the election for trump... even warren and amy(who i dispise now) would have abetter chance in a general... bidens numbers will slowly slip once the whole country pays attention and sees how hes talking.
So you’re focusing on a slice of the population who “lean Trump”, DON’T care how Trump speaks but DO care how Biden speaks (which is infinitely more coherent than DT)...

Ok mate

Right back at the start of this I wrote sanders off because I didn't see the same momentum he had in 2016.
He did much b

His promises are undeliverable and his base are alienating other progressives.
He wont get the nomination and while he's driven the progressive movement, he should have let a Democrat lead the left in 2020.
Bernie’s improvement with Latino voters has been impressive but, at least to date hasn’t seemed to win over a significant % of 2016 Clinton voters who have flirted with several candidate but seem to have settled on Biden.

no I meant Independants in general who are open 2 both partys… its not that small a slice.. it decides the election

Because THEY ****ED BERNIE!! AMIRITE?!?!

because the bigwigs in the party did everything possible to screw him twice yes.. while i would still vote biden over trump.. he can't win so no i won't feel sorry for the party elite who are corrupt and wanna keep everything moderate or status quo they say 3rd time is the charm.. maybe by 2024 the big wigs in the party will pull there faces out of there asses and stop saying a progressive/left leaner can't win... clearly the moderate isnt doing much better if lose 2 times lol.

Seven hundred million dollars from Bloomberg. Think of the people that could of helped.

People are laughing but that’s a crime against humanity. He should be locked up for burning that much money while people are homeless and starving etc.

Quite legit, what a kick in the balls that was for Bernie people. Genuinely have no idea how he underperformed in so many states. Anyone remember about a week ago the line from media was "is there any way to stop Bernie Sanders"? Yeah, I guess literally everyone else dropping out is the way to do it.

Jebus this country needs to ditch FPTP and get something like ranked choice voting. The idea that Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are in same ideological "party" just astounds me.

Bernie is still in it but last night was a sting. From my point of view and I don’t wanna get into a capitalist v socialism debate with fellow toffees in here but I’ve always looked at political elections in my country and yours with apathy. I’ve always looked at it as the system being the system. Controlled by money. The people controlled and exploited. Couldn’t imagine someone with true socialist ideas especially in the states would ever get far. I always thought it would take a full scale revolution that wasn’t coming with how docile the people were. Still have faith but if Bernie loses and the country sees fit to think Biden is A. Good for the people and B. Able to beat trump. Then capitalism’s grip is as strong as I use to always think.
See, the thing is, I agree with all of this,
My problem is how Sanders is going about it. He should have joined the party and worked from within, building alliances, working on compromise and unified change.
I'm eternally grateful that he moved the needle so far left and inspired the likes of AOC to get in to the game. But I'm frustrated by his stubbornness and his unwillingness to work with the establishment rather than fight against it.
I see it as an opportunity missed. It's frustrating when you live here and bring up kids here and I'm getting middle fingers for my opinion.
If you still cant see the flaws in Sanders, there's not much more I can say.

He has done some good stuff with his money over the years but this has been a huge vanity project that as you say could have been used for infinitely better uses.

The people who decide the election are the people in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania who are open to someone from either party. That’s a pretty small slice of the electorate. It also exemplifies why the Electoral College is so stupid. I live in a deep red state, and barring me moving to another state, or a major demographic shift, I’ll never cast a meaningful presidential vote in my lifetime.

Nightmare scenario Warren stays in the race and won’t endorse Bernie and then Obama after staying away from Bernie swoops in and give an endorsement. I’m sure the powers that be have these two things lined up as a tactic.

Yes, this, RCV, it's on the ballot here in november and I'll be out campaigning for it.
