Personally I think I’d really enjoy watching Kamala eviscerate Mike Pence in a VP debate.

I know you feel like the moderate candidates aren’t aiming high enough with their goals for change. However, surely you’re familiar with the old adage that “A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step.” America won’t even have a hope of taking that single step if Trump is re-elected. My dad used to always tell me that “10 percent of something is better than 100 percent of nothing.” That feel pretty applicable in this situation.

Imagine if every hospital in Ireland was private.
Now hand control of all those private hospitals over to the HSE
Now ban VHI.
Look how difficult building one public children's hospital is in Ireland.
What Sanders is proposing is prohibitively expensive and he'll get battered for it in a GE.

It’s not there in the current state maybe and maybe sanders couldn’t get it done without a full scale revolution. But he start talking about what we really need to tax from the capitalist class he would be totally unelectable in the system that he’s in. It’s bad in Ireland aswell agreed.

His promises are undeliverable and his base are alienating other progressives.
He wont get the nomination and while he's driven the progressive movement, he should have let a Democrat lead the left in 2020.

Just as people have argued that Trump's latest outrage never fazes his base because they already knew who he is and his being a jerk is "baked in" to his image, so we can say that being a tireless gaffe machine is already baked in to Biden's image (i.e., since the 1980s) and shouldn't be much of a factor among people inclined to vote for him or against Trump.

Look at the turnout. it was big and it was for him.
Yea, he's a gaff prone rambler but he's Shakesperian compared to Trump.
You're vastly under estimating how many Americans would take boring as opposed to Trump, or a revolution for that matter.

Bernie is still in it but last night was a sting. From my point of view and I don’t wanna get into a capitalist v socialism debate with fellow toffees in here but I’ve always looked at political elections in my country and yours with apathy. I’ve always looked at it as the system being the system. Controlled by money. The people controlled and exploited. Couldn’t imagine someone with true socialist ideas especially in the states would ever get far. I always thought it would take a full scale revolution that wasn’t coming with how docile the people were. Still have faith but if Bernie loses and the country sees fit to think Biden is A. Good for the people and B. Able to beat trump. Then capitalism’s grip is as strong as I use to always think.
