Total bloodbath, no one comes off looking good. Bloomberg lost WAY harder than everyone else, but no one did themselves any favors for the general election.

Trump vs Sanders would be a bloodbath. Everyone who isn't a left wing loonie knows it.

Which is why I still think the Dems will eventually rally around to a "Anyone but Bernie" ticket and push through Bloomberg.

I see that you get the weekly milquetoast rich white dude email too. Because this has become the new talking point of the corporatist wing of the party.

Luckily we have polls and Bernie performs very well in them against Trump. In fact better than every other candidate, accept for Bloomberg who's recent "new guy bump" was thankfully eviscerated last night on national television.

Tbh, it doesn't make a difference. No matter who is the frontrunner, the Trump virgins will say "the Dems are HANDING the election to Trump with this guy/woman." It's an incumbent president with the wind of a good economy at his back so yeah, Trump is probably going to win regardless, but I reckon Sanders has the best shot. He's got a devoted base that none of the others really have, he's tenacious as hell and has a clear message. It's only my opinion of course, but I just don't think someone as dull as Buttigieg has a chance against the lunacy of the Trump campaign machine, they have to fight fire with fire

In fact here one of dozens of examples:

you need to start with getting the basics right first, then maybe move onto some more complicated stuff
Oh and another

I get the point you're trying to make, but it's worth mentioning that (due to the ridiculous nature of the US electoral system) national polls are virtually meaningless.

Now I think on the important polls (eg the swing state polls conducted recently by NBC/WSJ) that Sanders IS ahead of Trump, but it's a razor thin margin. Biden and Bloomberg (and I'm not advocating them as the nominee) both better Bernie's margin in these states.
Biden margin: 8%
Bloomberg: 2%
Bernie: 1%

i think i agree, obviously the argument against it is that 'centerists' wont vote for sanders, but then will they vote for trump? and it obviously didnt work having clinton as his opponent
