I think you and I are the only 2 people in the "Martina wasnt that bad" camp.
He obviously is that bad because no club at any level wants him.

He wasn't that bad. We kept making him play out of position and he did his best.I think you and I are the only 2 people in the "Martina wasnt that bad" camp.
It’s overblown to legendary proportions yeah. People need someone to blame for that season so I’ll gladly let that be Cuco.
He even got an assist with a left foot cross from left back that season. Coleman hasn’t learned how to cross a ball with his good foot in over a decade.
Has he ever been used in a right back position at Everton, all I remember is his appearances on the left?
I assume he offers something as footballer or surely we would have terminated his contract or does it have to be mutually consenting?
Coleman has had plenty of assists, I wouldn’t use that as a defence of Martina.
Playing left back for Everton, unless youre Baines or Nuno Valente, can be a poisoned chalice. Pistone got a rougher deal than he deserved, and there are numerous other examples. I think it started years ago in what was the old 'Paddock'. That bottom corner could be a nightmare for an Everton full back...and see how quickly the crowd even now are turning on Digne.
Maybe it’s just because apart from Baines and Valente we’ve had abysmal left backs.
Gary Nay.. wait a minute, I think you're absolutely spot on.Maybe it’s just because apart from Baines and Valente we’ve had abysmal left backs.
I just knew someone would come up with that one. Always thought Nuno was excellent myself...best tackler of his time.
Personally think he's a bit soft.
6 months left, still only 30-years old, so probably got 3-4 years left in him, so why wouldn't he try grab a loan, and try to impress someone?
Personally, have no gripe with Martina. He didn't ask to be played wrong side of defence and didn't ask for a 3 year deal. Koeman on the other hand.
