A look at what is being preached in the mosques by the Saudi trained Imans and if it infringes any hate speech laws.

Full, fair and frank discussion of the issue explained and started by the government.

Children to be taught self empowerment in schools.

An offence to coerce anyone anywhere to anything.

Help to high Muslim areas in education, job training etc.

Education in British values and reminder of laws when people come unto the country.

Not bombing Muslim countries.

Id stop all religious schools and make education secular though to include education in all the main religions as well as humanism and atheism and preaching of tolerance to all.

On the Burka I quite like our CBA attitude to it when a lot of the rest of Europe are banning or speaking against it (Merkel.included). Make no mistake though, under the Burka there will almost always be support for extremism and sharia law.

Ban sharia law as well as any similar things in other religions.

All the above to apply to everyone from whichever religion

How's that for starters?

I'm of the opinion that 'radicalisation' is not a result of increased religiosity, but something which can affect vulnerable Muslims and non-Muslims. People who turn to extremism are usually secluded, and often not a part of Muslim community. I think that, because of this, targeting communities and in fact, and entire religion in this country, is and has been unhelpful and has only made the situation worse. I agree with some of your points, but frankly I think that 'radicalisation' can be prevented on non-religious terms, because I believe it is a wholly non-religious phenomena.

By the way, 'banning sharia law' will do nothing because it isn't legally binding and is used for a very small number of civil cases in this country along side with non-sharia lawyers in attendance.

The difference is that all of those polls had one thing in common - underestimating the support of right wing politics.

They may be slightly off, but it won't matter if they are - it'd still be a drubbing for Corbyn.

For me, I think the polls are slightly exaggerated, but very slightly. It'll be close to a historic defeat for Labour - the echo chamber really aren't understanding just how unelectable Corbyn is to anyone who isn't very left wing.
Think those polls could be a bit out, but i think a lot of former labour voters are going to sit this one out, don't see there party as anything they want to support, but will not vote for the others parties.
Could be in for a rough time on election night.

Now is probably the worst time to have a weak opposition. It is vitally important that parliament has a cross section of MPs willing to scrutinise and question each and every part of Brexit, and continue to hold the government accountable.

Just as an aside, it is very debateable to say we have weak opposition in Parliament now.

Since the last election, the Tory Government has been beaten three times (admittedly one of those was a bit of a nonsense) and has had to publicly back down at least twice on major issues because it knew that they wouldn't get them past the Commons. They were on course to have as hard a time of it as Major did, and it may well have been as bad as the mid-70s because of Brexit and the current makeup of the House. Of course this is almost certainly down to lack of control that Corbyn has over his MPs, combined with the tiny majority that May has inherited from Cameron. What it has resulted in is that the quality of Parliamentary debate - and the quality of Parliamentary decision making with regards to approving Government policy - is probably better now than it has been at any point for the past forty years. MPs of all parties (and all factions within those parties) are emboldened to speak their minds, identify their own issues and take them up - which is what should happen.

If you make the parties stronger - on either side of the aisle - then we lose all that. They will retreat into triangulating the same tiny political space, having the same orthodoxies, serving the same masters and enforcing the same message discipline on MPs (which of course extends to selecting people who can be relied upon to follow those orders).

And the only Labour person currently doing that is Hilary Benn.........

Claiming tories are fascist is an insult to those who sufferred from actual fascism. Oppose their politics by all means and criticise them but the fascism nonsense is pure hysteria

It is, but then again you should also acknowledge whose policy Appeasement was.

Pretty sure all sorts of folk voted Out mate.
It's a lot easier for people just to dismiss 17.4million people as racists rather then question their different motivations. It's an endless smear campaign that's been going on since before the Referendum and has been unceasing since. It seems to be the order of the day to attack or dismiss your political opponent as a bad or lesser person simply because they disagree with you. Poor showing really and reflects badly on those that do it.

Indeed. It also does little to enhance the forum either.
