The mess that the Labour Party are in can be summer up nicely by the vitriol that Kate Hoey, one of their longest serving MPs is taking from younger far left elements of the party on social media. She's one of the few labour candidates I'd vote for and one of the best representatives in parliament. But she doesn't fit the momentum mould so she's vilified. I've heard people speak about labour being a broad church, it appears not.
Hoey has always been on the right of Labour policy in general, so I'm not surprised that she isn't too popular amongst Labour supporters. Ultimately though, it's down to her constituency to vote her in. How is she being vilified?
I just think it's the sign of an unhealthy party to not allow other voices. Just type her name into twitter.
Hmm, not sure. She's probably fair game. Labour MP who campaigns with Farage is a bit strange. Also, you said she is a good representative, but she doesn't represent her constituency on the biggest political issue of our life times - 78% of her constituency voted remain.
She might not represent her constituencies view on Brexit but I bet she's more in touch with the views of the people in the country that Labour needs to attract.
Hmmm...thinks...Kate Hoey for Labour Leader???
She could sit in her back kitchen baking cakes and watching loose women for the next two weeks and still win.Indeed. Which is why we need a credible opposition so that these shortcomings can be exploited and therefore actually matter.
Because short of kicking a puppy to death live on Sky News, May wins this election.

Why should she play to someone else tune just to keep them happy.
Lots still can't see it. This government isn't really that good, but it's got a virtual free run. At staying in power.Exactly. She's in a position of too much power, and that's not much to do with her - it's largely due to Corbyn's hopelessness.
Labour's official policy on Brexit:Labour representative on Newsnight... absolutely baffling position on Brexit. Truly stupid.

Miliband got vilified. Foot and Kinnock too. The media will do that to any and every Labour leader that threatens them i.e. Everyone except a Blair type
