Absolute bollox Pete and you know it. And I suspect you are on a wind up anyway.

Not at all, he played his best hand and lost. The tories will not make the same mistake again. Even now they are talking about removing the public servant wage cap, but they will do it when they want and not Corbyn. He's too thick to see what will happen and the clever Labour politicians will be in no rush to help him........

Mate, you are wrong about that and a quick google search of the areas would confirm this. I may be mis-understanding your point maybe?

Unless the Tory/DUP pact has a parading agreement this isn't the place to discuss that though for fear of re-routing the thread.

Time will tell.
Its more the way gerry kelly went on about the parade going through nationalist ardoyne, when anyone knows it goes up the crumlin road past ardoyne and past unionist areas too, but live and let live i say, most people have moved on now mate, i hope

It's being reported that students are boasting on social media about voting twice. Let's hope the police can prove it and prosecute them.......

This is, of course, a much bigger deal that using central funds for local campaigns.

You believe students? Almost (but not quite) as untrustworthy as Tory politicians.

That's the least of the fraud going on in the British voting system nowadays, courtesy primarily of the postal vote. What happened to implementation of the Electoral Commission recommendation that names on voters lists are linked to national insurance numbers for verification that the person named actually exists?
There was a shaming quote a few years ago from an African politician visitor to these shores. She was investigating the British electoral system in all its aspects and hoping to see things she could take home and integrate into her own country's system. Instead her conclusion was that it is completely corrupted and reminded her of several Third World countries in its openness to fraud.

And she's right it is completely open to fraud. Postal voting in particular should be abolished, it is being manipulated......

Worth noting that Irish media has been speculating that parading is part of the pact and it may well be.

Personally I think that breathing life back into dying Orangism would de-stabilise things too much in Ireland for it to be a realistic consideration. Although not sure either how a token gesture could be made to the DUP re this without it being very very dangerous for all of us.

Longest squeeze on household incomes since 1970s says Office for National Statistics
Three consecutive quarters of contraction for real household disposable income is the worst run for the series since 1976-77

LONDON — Britain's economy grew just 0.2% in the first quarter of 2017, according to the Office for National Statistics' third estimate of GDP growth at the start of 2017, released on Friday.

GDP had initially been estimated at 0.3% but was revised down in May, as more data became available for the first three months of the year. The 0.2% Q2 figure makes Britain the worst performing major economy on earth right now.

Personally i dont think parades, flags etc will come into any deal, and as someone from the unionist community i'm sickened and disgusted by the dup voting with the tories to sh - t on the emergency services
