That's a big statement.

Is it not just a grieving populace demanding safer housing and more money into emergency services?

It's all feels wrong tho. Bodies are still being searched for and protesters marching the street demanding May to go just after a hung parliament.

It's a disgusting statement.

She brought the pressure on her self. She had majority government and through sheer ego and bloody mindedness called an election that lots of senior party members advised against.

THEN.... she behaves like Thatcher in 1989 meeting with chiefs and not the victims, THEN she pledges a paltry £5m as if that's all it will take to make this go away, THEN she sneaks out the back door to avoid facing the public again.

She hates the public, she fears the public and she is not fit to lead a conga let alone a country.

A tragedy that families have been destroyed by this and some don't even have a body yet. Unimaginable what those people are going through.

I couldn't vote labour even if I wanted to but I don't see this as a party political thing. It's a community grief reaction to try and make sure it can never happen again.

Just my take on it, I could be miss-reading it mate.

They are demanding something be done to help the families and victims of this who are sleeping on camp beds in a sports hall, they are demanding answers as to why her housing minister sat on documents that's advised something like this would happen for Four years, they are demanding some STRONG AND STABLE LEADERSHIP

Would be more interested in finding the bodies, then what started the fire, then why it spread so quick, and then make sure if there was a specific reason, (cladding, whatever), was immediately tackled.

Rather than lobbing blame at someone before any of that is actually known.

I get the anger, its been well documented that concerns were raised, but I just find the immediate stampede to put the blame at one persons door, worrying. We are living in "interesting" times, and no mistake.

It was a disaster the way she didn't meet families. I could be wrong, had the radio on while working today, but pretty sure Portillo highlighted this as well.

He did.

She has not been great, lets face it.
A leader by definition is someone that stands up in times of crisis, she's been everything but, starting from about 10:01 last Thursday.

I can't believe even the Tories want her to stay anymore.

Roydo, I get what you are saying and I do agree with your logic. My own experience of 'marching on government' maybe taints my view in believing that you must force the administration to acknowledge failings and do something.

Unfathomable pain for the families but I have been in crowds like that, the need to feel that you have to do something, someone must take responsibility.

I acknowledge I am applying Irish life experience to a situation which is not akin.

Thought she was a lunatic to call the election in the first place, she was then an utter car crash during it, and has now tried to cobble together an alliance that literally no one remotely believes will last 5 minutes.

In the real world that we inhabit, she is basically the competent PA in an office, now trying her hand at the CEO job.

She is toast.

These things aren't mutually exclusive, people can be angry whilst this is going on.

I bet the shredding machines in Tory Hq haven't worked as hard in years as they have the last few days.

Public enquiry = years of delays

FULL INQUEST = less time to destroy evidence that would incriminate people.

Which one did they go for?
