I'm not gonna lie mate, I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about
Not gonna lie mate. I'm not really arsed what you think.

Better ways to end a conversation though and I've always been taught that if you can't say anything nice to not say anything at all so I'll not bother you further.

When you say many people south of the border I'd love to know who. I've been blessed with a circle of friends and acquaintances from all over the UK and elsewere with a very broad spectrum of political views on both the left and the right and not one of them would want Sturgeon to be leader of this country. Not. One.

I think the point is, Gsl, that if she were leader of the Labour Party in this country, espousing Labour beliefs, she is so articulate that she would probably have a blindingly good chance of getting in as Labour leader. The ACTUAL scenario, with her leading the SNP, is that her politics are quite different...

Bob Geldof has come out in favour of the Lib Dems. Probably the final nail in their coffin. Haven't heard much about celeb voting intentions in this campaign, thank God.

@tommye
You got one of him pissing on it?

Well we clearly move in different circles!

Certainly, women that I've spoken to - relatives and friends in the south - feel inspired by her straightforwardness and determination.
Most would respect Sturgeon at the individual level but the SNP are poison for labour at the English ballot box. Which is why Jeremy needs to give an immediate and clear stiff arm to any suggestions of coalitions in a hung parliament.

Most English people who don't know Scotland think it's run like Venezuela, or would be if Sturgeon got her way. They don't realise how heavily small-c conservative it actually is.

Genuine question here that I think provides a lot of insight to the difference between conservatives and liberals..

Why, on social media, do only, and I really do mean ONLY left-leaning people say "Don't forget to vote on Thursday", or "Don't forget to register to vote" ??

It's not like you're bloody likely to "forget" the day of the general election, is it? There is not-so-subtle subtext implied here... it reflects the Leftist mindset of collectivism and the Right mindset of individuality and personal responsibility.

Yvette Cooper has hinted she'd serve under Corbyn. As Home Secretary, I'd have thought.
Would be a brilliant move from Corbyn to bring her in for that. He'd distance himself from the disaster that is Abbott (who is major stumbling block for some who otherwise agree with him) thus showing strong leadership and also very pubically show that he's fair minded and inclusive to different branches of the party he doesn't always agree with
