That isn't what I'm saying but can't help you taking that way. Let's just agree to disagree. To this observer, thats exactly what is is.
"Folk blown up in London, Police cuts to blame". Thats the narrative I see.

Didn't say it was a poor response did I? The police do an amazing job as already said.
They don't look at budgets but they would look at policing levels and plan accordingly. As i have said not just me saying the cuts haven't helped. Former police are saying it today too and i agree with them.

I don't think it is. The cuts have helped the environment for this sort of thing to happen. Can you honestly say that these sorts of attacks would have happened say 15 years ago? Not saying it's totally to blame but it hasn't helped.
they'd target areas of the country that have a lower police presence.
On your wider point of the UK Govt selling stuff to Saudi, (I assume), its been distasteful for decades. Difference is, I dont lob the blame at the current incumbent for cheap wins. Like I said, The West, have been utterly rubbish in our understanding of the complexities in the ME since I studied it for History A Level in about 1893.
So I take it that you and @Tubey disagree with corbyn, former police officers and the police federation?Sorry but this is utter nonsense. Firstly, as @Tubey says, if they were influenced by police numbers, they'd target areas of the country that have a lower police presence.
Secondly, we've seen an increase in attacks all over the west in the past 5-or-so years, in France, Germany etc - are Tory cuts responsible for attacks in those countries too?
I'm all for giving criticism when it is deserved - and be in no doubt, the Tories are culpable in some ways - but your argument makes no sense.
Hello again mate. They'd be stupid to do so, given the counter is Corbyn doesn't believe in shoot to kill. I suppose his approach would have been to talk nicely to the people stabbing innocent civilians yesterday and ask them politely to stop.
Labour should avoid issues of national security like the plague. It is by far and away Corbyn's biggest Achilles Heel.
I'm not trying to make a party political point. I'm expressing disgust, dismay and not a little shame at my country's repulsively hypocritical foreign policy. I'm angry at the faux hand-wringing from a complicit government that pretends to serve its people.
That's all.
Seems I'm arguing the wrong point mate... and corbyn is wrong and so are former police officers and the police federation.Genuinely baffled that despite prior warnings from within the security services and several high profile members of the police voicing their concerns today, that there are lids on here that don't see the need for additional funding within the police force.

I also think some are misinterpreting concern for our police force having the resources to prevent and respond to these instances, as a belief that every terror attack can be prevented - which clearly isn't the case.Think some were suggesting this happened cos of police funding.
