I will be utterly gobsmacked if that is close to right. I think tories are 50 low and labour 50 high.

Also, I just found out that the methodology used by yougov has 18-24 year olds at 84% turnout. Considering youth also have the highest rate of non registration, let's just say I'm sceptical.

But let's see.

Edit: This is based on universal swings with a 5 point tory lead. A figure that no other poll has been has low as. Not even the most recent poll by this pollster. The cynic in me thinks this is tory fake news to cause fear and boost turnout.

It is a bit of a shock, and may well be an attempt to get the Tory vote out (especially who did it and what paper it appears in) - but there is a real question over whether this election is going to be atypical in that the youth vote may actually turn out at this election. The large numbers (nearly half a million applications from those under 34) registering since the election was called does suggest something unusual may be going on, and Labour have certainly been targeting those sections of the electorate.

There is also the largely unknown (and un-pollable) question of how many of the non-voters will turn up this time around - in 2015, which was a big turnout in recent terms, 35% of the eligible electorate didn't vote at all.

That is the crux of the matter and why polls are not really reflective of what will happen. At the last election the Tories got 25% of the electorate and Labour got 21%. At the last election Labour's vote went down in Scotland by about 700 000 but went up in England by over 1 million and they won about 20 odd more seats than at the 2010 election. There are 2 million people who have registered and most will probably vote, considering they bothered to register. These could be the deciding votes and the polls haven't a clue how they would vote as well as whether more will vote compared to 2010.

Hahahahaha....Emily Thornberry strikes again, saying that we can't export food to Australia because it will go off.....

"Neil Parish, Conservative candidate for Tiverton and Honiton and former chairman of the Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs select committee, said: “Yet again, Emily Thornberry is completely out of touch with reality. Australia is already our 12th biggest export market for food and drink and demand is growing fast – because our great British food makes it Down Under in perfect condition.

“These comments would be funny but it is no laughing matter that Jeremy Corbyn and Emily Thornberry could be negotiating Brexit just 11 days after polling day.

“If they don’t think we can export food around the world, they would make an absolute meal of the Brexit negotiations – and we would all pay the price.”

Interesting fact......

Granny Smith apples, grown in Australia (and other types of apples imported from other far flung places) can be up to 9-12 months old before they are sold in British supermarkets.

Not quite as 'fresh' as they'd have you believe.

So it's someone else's responsibility then, just vote for Labour and you can sleep at night, no need to do anything yourself....

You're either being wilfully ignorant or just not able to understand what is being said. You can agree with something and not show it in your actions. It might be preferable for people to put their beliefs into practice, but if they don't it doesn't make the beliefs or principles wrong. The debate here is about the principles or the beliefs, it's a logical fallacy to switch the basis of the argument and does your argument no favours.

All the evidence says their method is wrong, but who knows what is going on. I do think its most likely to be cheap tory PR to boost voter turnout tho.

Well it seems that the 'Corbyn is unelectable' bull has been binned. At the start of this election you would have thought Labour were going to lose their deposits everywhere. Despite an unprecedented distorted and scurrilous attack on Corbyn by the vast majority of the media, Corbyn is looking more and more statesman like by the day, as people are able to listen to what he has to say. Rather than some hacks distorted reporting of what Corbyn stands for and what he is saying.

This coupled with May's shambolic campaign has resulted in nervousness in the Tories ranks. They will continue with the only thing they know vicious lies, slurs and innuendos. As the Tories get more and more nervy by the day they will become more and more irrational and will more openly be criticising May for being a rank amateur who doesn't make any sense half the time.

UK charities 'gagged' from speaking out against Theresa May

'We are ready to speak out at one minute past midnight on 9 June,' charity head says

Labour said it would scrap the lobbying act as it effectively "gagged charities" PA

Charities are reportedly being “gagged” by the Government from speaking out about “damaging” social care plans.

A chief executive of a major charity told the Guardian they felt “muzzled” by legislation passed in 2014, which prevents charities from lobbying the Government in the run-up to an election.

The charity leader warned Theresa May’s decision to means test the winter fuel allowance could “literally cost lives”, as some of the poorest pensioners in the country lose support.

They also condemned the “dementia tax”, claiming it would stop people from seeking necessary support.

They said they were preparing to speak out but would not do so before the general election on 8 June for fear they would be gagged further.

“We are ready to speak out at one minute past midnight on 9 June,” they said.

Thinktank Charity Futures head Sir Stephen Bubb said the charity sector had been notably silent on the Tory manifesto.

“The social care proposals strike at the heart of what charities do but they should be up in arms about them but it hasn’t happened. It is two problems: there is the problem of the so-called ‘gagging act’, but also the general climate of hostility towards charities means there is a lot of self censorship,” he told the Guardian.

“Charities that once would have spoken out are keeping quiet and doing a disservice to their beneficiaries. They need to get a bit of a grip.”

Another senior figure in the charity said they were too scared to speak out.

“We are all scared of the lobbying act and thus most of us are not saying much during the election. There was the same problem in the EU referendum – if you criticise the government then you are being political,” they said.

Thats what they did last time - watch they will be banging on about SNP and Labour coalition to get the tory vote out + corbyn has said he will work with them like wise Sturgeon etc - its gutter politics to win May has gone down in my estimation expected this - if she does get in I hope it's a very small majority - She has blew this by calling an early election, and the dementia tax, and an uncosted manifesto, a 21 point lead threw away with complacency I stated yesterday not one leader looked any good on those TV debates - Jezza may pull the government to task yet and may will be one of the shortest leaders of the tories!
Still not voting by the way sick of it on the TV every night with meaningless debates without the leaders that was another bad idea by May!
She has made it so uninteresting with no face to face debates with Corbyn!

I know in work a lot like myself , don't really like some of the Labour front bench, voted brexit and said they were going to give this one a miss and hope a Labour party would come out different after the election, but the last few weeks , since the manifestos launches they are backing Labour again and voting that way, might get interesting if that is a . movement around the country the same way.
Labour need to keep Abbott , thornberry ect out the way as they are a liability.
Still think. Come the election it will be a big Tory win as I think Labour. Will keep its traditional vote but will not get the swinging voters on board.
