I think people put far to much stock in these nonsense tv fiasco's. I doubt anyone changed their minds on how they are going to vote based on that. A total waste of time and yet again the only people who will of beifited from that farce is the tv people for getting the coverage and that egomaniac Paxman.
While not a fan of these things, the LibDem's got in to power on the back of Nick Clegg's decent showing in one in 2010.

Just thought I'd add that the Liberal Democrats actually lost seats in the 2010 election. Charles Kennedy led them to 62 seats in the house in 2005 and they went down to 57 in 2010. Yes they're voting percentage slightly went up in 2010 but I don't believe that was down to the massively overblown tv debates.

Lib Dems actually lost about a dozen seats in the 2010 election, so this is a bit of a misconception.

As much as I think he's a total lunatic on his policies and outlooks, he came across as genuine from day 1, which is why I have always thought that he'd do OK in an election contest. I also actually agree with his view on foreign interventions as one of the principle causes in the escalation of terrorist acts at home.
