Of course, but for big business it's a fairly big factor.

All raising CT will do is smash small businesses who can't avoid it as easily, thereby tanking the economy at a time when Brexit is expected to put the hurt on things overall.

For what it's worth, I think 20% is fine - don't see any need to increase or decrease it myself.

They are planning to introduce a lower rate of 20% for businesses with annual profits below £300,000.

Have to laugh at the Tories new rights for workers. I'm sure they'll be lining up outside our office asking for a year off to look after their sick relative. The money they've saved from the 3 other jobs working as directors for other companies should cover living expenses and still see them enjoy a comfortable lifestyle without having to visit foodbanks.
its agreed that policy is utter nonsense who can afford to take up to 12 months off unpaid - also the strain on an employer to keep that persons job open /
They know it will be Zilch % who take that up so thats why they put it forwards as a friendly workers policy??????

What I don't understand is why there is such vociferous unpicking of Labour's economic policies in particular, when the Tories have shown they are just as poor at balancing the books as they promised. Nearly tripling the national debt with their obsession over the 'deficit'.

Unfortunately Labour via Abbott and McDonnell don't really give people confidence that they have a grasp of the numbers. Debts and deficits have to be dealt with and while the tories give an impression, true or false, that they will address these issues, Labour are only talking about Tax and Spend which comes across to most sensible people as student politics.......

It's just a big wish list that will unravel as soon as they get grilled on the numbers and the effect upon businesses and tax take........

It is - though there is a lot in the manifesto that is achievable, that would reduce spending and which we are going to probably end up doing much more expensively if the Tories win anyway (especially building new power stations).

Anyone else think its funny that Labours "bash the fat cats policies" will only enrich those with the spare cash to make decent money betting on a Tory win?
What is it 1/10? So need a good 50k to bet in order to make it worthwhile.

Not really - if you can find an investment that will make 10% profit in less that a month, please share it as that would be good for anyone. And a Tory victory has got to be greater than 90% at this stage

£100 on your £1000 would do most people for a three week investment
