Oh dear. I see, let's dismiss the 860 000 that voted for Labour and were not put off by Corbyn.

Where did I dismiss them? o_O I was merely pointing out the hilarity of you referring to Manchester, Liverpool, Doncaster & North Tyneside as marginals. I'm going to be honest, I thought you were being sarcastic. Now I'm a little worried that you weren't...

Corbyn is having a celebratory rally in Manchester right now and the his victorious candidate hasn't even bothered to show up. That just sums up the Labour party right now.
He was in Liverpool this afternoon, almost like he's deliberately picked the two places guaranteed to have Labour Metro Mayors for his TV stuff.

It's pathetic, I hope he stubs his toe on a tramp in Piccadilly gardens.

I've not seen him campaign outside of inner city London and the north west. I've no idea what he's playing at. Unless maybe anywhere is a marginal for Labour this days lol

My favourite bit is where @hullefc thinks it is a huge media conspiracy that the BBC is choosing to focus on the 382 lost seats (tangible and disastrous) and not the fact that Labour still got 860,000 votes (ultimately meaningless as it wasn't translated into seats).

I don't dispute what @Tubey is saying, but Burnham is an utter rat for doing this . Puts himself well above the party and allegedly one of the very worst for lobbying against Corbyn from within the shadow cabinet meetings. Even rumoured to have been sending real time updates during them.

I like Burnham personally. But then he is a blue, but think he's done a lot of good for the northwest, and Hillsborough.

I'm just really confused why I've just witnessed a victory rally from Corbyn and the Labour party after losing hundreds of seats. I haven't seen any partying from Theresa May. Something just seems really weird about the whole party at the minute.

They're a protest party now.

Ironically I got my new membership card today, can't see that lasting a year.

They're a party of protest right now. Power is of no interest to Corbyn, never has been.

I think this says just about everything you need to know about Labour at the moment. Completely detached from reality, clutching at straws and blaming their ills on everybody but themselves.
