Everton , in the past generation, always underwhelms. One or two on here might bang on about 72 points a couple of seasons ago, but that year also ended with a weak-kneed whimper i.e zilch

It won't change.

But I still love Everton

Good season. I wouldn't say we've made progress, rather say that we're now back where we were when Moyes left. We took a few steps backwards, and now we're back where we started. The real progress begins now.

...easy peasy 6-8, both on and off the pitch. Considering where we were at the end of last season I'd probably say 7 given European qualification. It's an interesting forecast for this time next season given the possible departures of Lukaku and Barkley, although I would hope to see significant progress off the pitch in respect of the new stadium.

A lot wasn't so good, but there were more positives than negatives. Koeman has established a solid base to hopefully build on. On it's own, the season was a 5, but when I take where we finished the season before into account, this campaign was a solid 7.

No idea where to put this, i need a rant!!

Prem footy is [Poor language removed], all that matters is money. Who pays most wins!!! Odd exception to the rule aside obviously....which makes it better imo!!

Where is the pride now in your owners spending stupid money on players who dont really care about the club they sign for!!

We all think our club is different but they are chasing the money over actual success.

But, i will pay my money again for a season ticket for very diff reasons why many follow a team. Truth is...i dont matter really, to the game. Traditional match going fans are irrelevant!

Loyalty seems to mean nothing now, footy is different to when i fell in love with it.

Ah well, up the toffees

A huge (moyes before the bob) season, We lost nothing yet gained norra lot but a slightly less irate yet more portly ginge.
2018 is our year...etc ad nauseam....

Oh Pabbers, I feel your pain, I am also finding it really hard to get excited for the next season. It's lost it's sparkle, In all honesty I feel the club lost it's modern identity when Moyes left. I saw us early days playing dross crap but when Pienaar, Fellaini, Arteta, Cahill ..even AJ playing, I felt a real connection and saw real development in how we played. Now ?? even our own homegrown talents are looking for the big moneys elsewhere....frankly I'm loosing patience, The gulf from player salaries to the normal man on the street is obscene and getting more ridiculous every year, I'm beginning to look for a new hobby that won't cost an arm and a leg to watch. Football is not a sport for the average man on the street anymore. If you can't justify £400 a year to watch roughly 12 games a year on tv and also in that great deal you have to listen to Tyler, Carra or everyone's likeable pleb Merson spout shirt for 8 months.....
I wish I could afford to get a season ticket, a train/ rental car, food, bevvies every home game but it's too rich for my blood :(
