I think if we go for a midfielder, we have two options - a traditional box-to-box player like Capoue or Sissoko or a ball playing midfielder who could cut teams apart with one pass (e.g. Benega - but he'd cost loads). Defour is sort of a mix between the two, and might be available. He would definitley add quality to the squad!

I seem to remember hearing Defour was injured for quite a long time. Hes certainly more of an all rounder than Capoue. Less dynamic than Sissoko but i think a better player. He was cheapish and hasnt featured too heavily for Porto i think. We've looked at him before havent we? Look at me though, going from one player to another, convincing myself we will sign them. Be a long fortnight for me.

Haha. Yeh, I think we had an interest a few years ago. He went to Porto in 2011 but hasn't played regularly; I thin he's had a few injuries and, to be fair, has just found it hard to get into a midfield that is as good as Porto's. They have a quality squad.

When I watched them at Liege I thought he looked better than Fellaini. Dont now though obviously. Have we even been linked with hin like?

I seem to remember it being us and United looking and Sir Alex sending him a get well card when he broke his leg. Given game time I think he's a really good player. I'd like to think we had had a look at him. He wouldn't be a replacement though for Fellaini.

I was a bit obsessed with Appiah for a long while- nothing like the crush Goat face has on Mout though.

It doesn't take a genius to work out the following-

If won don't make champions league fellani is off in the summer -25 million

We could spend nothing now take the chance but most likely miss champions league spot

Or

Burrow the money now strengthen with CB, CM and forward if we don't get 4th sell fellani and give money back if we do get 4th the champions league money will can cover the strengthen now surely the board must see that this investment is no risk and will more than likely improve there shares?

I know i keep asking myself this it seems so obvious. Thing is the fellani money in the summer is no help at all as we can attract a much better class of player when he is at the club and we are pushing for forth, but what do we know

Have you seen our credit rating....well lets put it this way the only avenues for us is a loan from the caymen islands or Wonga which both carry an interest rate that will get either of them very rich.

I simply dont watch him anymore.

It makes it easier, then I watched him in the last Euros and he took the complete piss with his skills yo.
