Capoue, I'm starting to believe is just a smokescreen. Mvilla I see going to another team. Defour I really could see happening tbh. He isn't regularly starting for Porto and wasn't overly expensive in the first place. He's the sort of player with all the raw materials that Moyes could resurrect the career of. He likes to do that sort of thing does Moyes.

Have we been linked with Defour then? I mentioned him sometime last week. I'm not itk obviously and we hand't been linked, but just think he'd be a decent signing (although i'd probably prefer Sissoko if we could get together the £3-4mil that Tolouse are (apparently) asking for).

Forren signing for Southampton tomorrow.

Hopefully this is the last "i as far as I know" tweet on Forren, but he will sign for Southampton tomorrow. If not I'll eat something silly

As far as I can gather the reason for postponing it is simply because the club wants to do the official announcemet on a press conference

I'd just seen Defour sounded out on here and the fact he hasn't been mentioned narrows him down an awful lot ha. Think it's plausible certainly but my preference is Capoue if its genuine interest we have. Sissoko I could see at that small French club in the north east of England by the end of Jan.

Starting to think we won't be signing anybody.

I'm starting to get the refresh this page every 10 minutes feeling. It's only 17/1 (like how I did that Goat, eh? eh?). What am I going to be like on the last day????? Last year I was anxious sure. But this year with our table position we need reinforcements and I'm super excited about our ability to actually place higher this year (and I don't mean 6th). So I have an itchy refresh finger.

Don't know if the game this Monday is going to help me out either.

Blurg.

Have we signed or loaned anyone yet for the love of God!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair do's.

Yeh Capoue is a very good player. Powerful, not pacey but not slow either, decent at passing and would add a solidity to midfield. That's exactly why I can see him at Arsenal but I would give him an Everton shirt in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

Sissoko I think would be more realistic just because of his contract winding down, but yeh the Geordies will probably make a bid for him.

I think if we go for a midfielder, we have two options - a traditional box-to-box player like Capoue or Sissoko or a ball playing midfielder who could cut teams apart with one pass (e.g. Benega - but he'd cost loads). Defour is sort of a mix between the two, and might be available. He would definitley add quality to the squad!

Having followed defour's career on and off he is a class act.has lost his way a tad recently but when he was with standard he was very impressive so much so I believe man u had been trailing him then he got a injury .I stand to be corrected though about that info.sign him up Davey!!
