Heitinga's future is very unclear, plus his form has left a lot to be desired.
Distin is 36 this year and out of contract in the summer.
Jagielka has years left in him admittedly, and is probably our next captain, but is also the wrong side of 30 too.

We need younger blood/fresher legs (with pace if possible) at CB, partnering Jags. Either via giving Shane Duffy more of a go, or buying someone.

CB does need improving, this season has clearly shown that.

Matt Besler or Omar Gonzalez in MLS are worth a look since we are skint, they are young, and they would be relatively cheap. They would compete with Duffy to be the Distin back-up and the future.

Why is this interesting? Same reporter that said in August of 2012 that LD would not be in MLS in 2013. And no, he didn't mean retirement.
