1995-2020 = the longest barren spell without silverware in Everton's history

Facts are football since the premier league has moved on. Fa cups and league cups owe a large amount luck which may come and go. There is a reason that wigan, boro and Bham have a won trophies and it’s not cos they were better than us.
We are nowhere near the winning a league title and will never be unless we get an even richer billionaire owner. Prob need to be looking over our shoulder at villa who are a sizeable club with 3rd richest owners in the league now.
Having a billionaire owner is only the entry point. You need a billion pound squad these days to challenge. And to do that on a budget you need to have a hell of scouting and back room team to assemble and build upon potential.
We can live in hope, but I’m struggling to see it in reality.
'sake. Only just read that now. Two real billionaires and they've hired Christian Purslow who sorted Liverpool out during the Gillett and Hicks fiasco.

We have a carpetbagger and Barret-Baxendale the EitC chugger.

If I were involved in the Everton board during this time I'd feel a sense of shame. The problem is that those who have guided us over the last 20 odd years don't feel any embarrassment, if anything you get the feeling they think we should be grateful for their stewardship.
I will just leave this here

Spot on. Even many of our fans don't take it seriously.

I've heard comments many times like 'who cares, it's only a mickey mouse cup' when we've got our usual early exit.

It's a chance to break our trophy duck, a place in Europe and a day out at Wembley for the fans. That's hardly 'mickey mouse'.

D, Purslow was hounded out by the Tricksters. He tried to kill them off.

Come on.

Never mind Dave, I’m sure when you’d move to the ‘unicorn stadium’ with Uncle Uzzy’ billions, the RS heads will explode. Explode, I tells yer.

Obviously there's an element of luck involved in those teams winning the trophies but there's less luck involved in someone like Spurs having transformed themselves over the past 5 years. They have implemented a plan that sees them mixing it with the very best now and in a brand new stadium.

He sorted Liverpool out with the Standard Chartered deal and Chelsea with big deals too: Yokohama, Carabao, Nike.

We have DBB who negotiated a packet of freebie ginger nuts and some one cup tea bags for Finch Farm's canteen.

Man City got relegated twice and never ever thought they would to.

But for a new all seater stadium being built by Manchester City council in order to win the commonwealth games, and then being handed it, they probably never would have done. That attracted a country to purchase them, allowing them to spend freely. City are the exception here, not the rule.

There are plenty of “fake sheikhs” (i.e billionaire ownere - not always from that part of the world) who have bought English clubs since that time with the promise of free spending and a handful of English clubs can testify that it’s not always as it seems. If this Newcastle deal is ratified, I imagine that will fare the same.

I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth of the pond life who infest that boardroom decade after decade who run this club like we're Burscough 'kin Town or someone.

I think people think its dead easy to get a club from nothing to the top, dead, dead easy.

I mean all it needs is for us to throw loads of money at things and its proper dead easy.

Easier than if you have a succession of helmets taking *ahem* interest payments out the club.
