I know we've heard it all before but Simon Jones is usually pretty reliable with his comments on Everton transfers.

except last season was joe allen's highest scoring premier league season and also his highest assisting season.

The vast majority of those came in a 3 game purple spell near the beginning of last season mate. I know because I put him in my FL team then and he didn't score me any points for abut the next 6 months until I ditched him again.

If you look at their career stats they're combined goal/assist figures per game are very similar.

I know its not fact..but tend to believe the story that Keane was done in January along with Sigurdsson on gentlesmen's agreements. Would of all been sweet and start of the window pretty much all our targets were in... But the yanks at Swansea reneged on the fee..thus throwing it into the saga it is now. Think he will sign.. and a mental last part of the window with last of the dead wood gone and one or two maybe three more in.
