Their combined transfer fees were probably as much as Sigurdsson and they're all considerably better players.

We're living in different times though, I guess.

True, Drogba and RVP add up to what Sigurdsson is quoted at. My point is however that resale value isn't a priority when you're trying to bring in quality players to develop a quality team.

And had anyone actually heard of Drogba before he went to Chelsea?
