You would expect this to mean that they would win the majority of games, but not all of them. No excuse about never beating them. Far worse teams than us have beaten them over recent years. It's not as if it's the Liverpool team of the 70's or 80's. They don't win the league any more than we do.

Where are the leaders in the Liverpool team? I don't see too many yet they don't have any issues winning big games. We are lacking creativity and goals in the attacking midfield positions behind Rom. They have Coutinhio, Mane, firminhio an Lallana. Not only are they creative and a threat but they put in a real shift for the team too.

No, I think the lesser teams go with the same mentality as us. They just face a different Liverpool side.
So you're saying lesser teams have the same bottling attitude as we do when they face the RS and yet still win?
We're often beaten before a ball is kicked. Yes, they're up for it but unfortunately, we're mostly the complete opposite.

I've had a bad day...even ten hours on the ale hasn't helped my mood after another non show from the Blues today.

An early start in the Brick and a wander across the Park. In fairness I like what they've done with our old place, I'd have closed it years ago if I'd had my way but they kept on buying houses around the girders and they have one ugly big stand with every mutant that the Devil could create infiltrating it. Eyes bulging and scarfs aloft I'm sure the mutants objected to us being present - it wasn't welcoming.

That third tier though! Like the Top Balconcy but in the clouds - I'd have had vertigo if I was up there.

Fortunately I was in more familiar surroundings of the Anney Road. Nice touch with the Seamus banner at kick off - but I left the Pit gutted (again.)

in my post match reflective and drunken conversations I've met the bad, the stupid, the bad and in fairness some decent lads. I know we were horrible to watch today, we couldn't pass to a Blue shirt and we thought standing off the opposition was the order of the da

But for the mad and the stupid, don't tell me that Liverpool have a chance to win the League this year. I'd thought I'd had a bad day if the beauts I spoke to were serious in town. Somehow just laughing in their face wa inappropriate given another insipid display today.

Somewhere in our Blues there is a good side, one that is hard working and difficult to beat - I've seen it - I just need that team to turn up at Anfield again. Just have a go, Liverpool ain't great but took us to school today - fed up of our pathetic performances there.

Even 20+ pints today ain't numbed how bad I feel about today. Again. If I was any good and could lose a few stone I'd have a right go - somehow a Rooney instead of. Calvert- Lewis makes a lot of sense. That's the difference.

Good night
Was Barry Murray in the Brick pal?

It's not like other teams go there and win year in and year out. For the most part over the last twenty years they've had a better team and that's why we lose a lot of the games.

Teams tend to finish in or around where they stand in regards to wage bill, but the RS squad depth is worse than ours, they pay Lalana £150k,Milner £120k,Henderson £150k
Its not a saquad full of winners or players with bottle,Everton let Lucas and Can boss midfield, let Coutinho constantly cut in on his right now that has nothing to do with wage bills thats down to not being prepared

The Coutinho thing is hard to stomach. He's their best player and we left him to run at Pennington. Complete mismatch and the older lads should've taken some responsibility.

Watching us make Lucas actually look Brazilian was sickening, but what the senior players and manager were doing just watching Coutinho have freedom of the pitch was unbelievable

Why not both? Regardless of the Pogba, Costa and De Bruyne the biggest spending clubs all supplement that with extensive scouting and purchasing of much cheaper young prospects whose transfers don't make the back pages.
I agree ,but it would have made my post too long :)

Just because a team has a bigger wage bill doesn't mean they're a better team, could just as easily mean they're paying huge wages for average players.

Some of the RS biggest earners: Henderson £100k
Sturridge £120k
Wijnaldum £90k
Mane £120k
Milner £120k
Firminio £100k
Lucas £80k

Matip £110k
Sakho £75k
Lovren £65k
Clyne £70k
Lallana £120k
Coutinho £150k

Even fringe player like Markovic and Ings are on £60k each, Moreno £40k, even some of the even more crappier players who never get near the squad are picking up £25k a week. Klopp's on £7.5m a year as well.

Most teams in the league have a better record v Liverpool than we do, that is what negates this argument. Over the course of time sure you expect them to win more but you can't explain us no longer winning any and that is what we have now become.

Swansea Wigan Wolves Blackpool West Ham Aston Villa Southampton have all won at Anfield in recent times. Nearly every other team in the league has a home win against them more recently than we do.

The shameful fact is that Liverpool get up for the most important game of their season, they run harder, press more and look to be clinical. We are so nervous that the basics of trapping and passing a football get lost. We've now lost these games before they've even started. Well done Everton.
