those were probably his pals at MSP who he couldn't convince to actually take up their option once they saw all the money they would have to fork out to pay the bills.

I'd sell him in the summer honestly, only 22 so still have some value but don't think he will ever be defensively solid enough no matter who the manager is.

I'd take Moyes back in a heartbeat.

I think if our new overlords 777 really wanted to keep him around when they eventually take over(god knows when) he would have been given a contract extension by now. Feel for him in a way he's trying to put out 40 fires with a water can with holes in the bottom.

Oh i'm betting if there's an extension we will here about it one way or another. Most likely it will come from a 777 source saying the same thing they always say.

Even if MSP do grant and extension to 777 that still doesn't guarantee them getting their money. I think one thing that has been proven over all these months is that 777 don't have the funds to complete a full takeover.

The most likley scenario is probably going to be that 777 don't pay MSP by monday. MSP exercise their option for majority control. They stick around long enough to see the stadium finished then sell Everton on for a tidy profit on their original investment into the stadium/club.

If MSP do assume control one would assume it would be alot easier for them to go out and get a loan to pay off Everton's debts/ fund the remaining stadium bills.

It's all going to boil down to whether MSP want actual control of this rudderless ship or not. If they just want to see their money repaid they will grant 777 their extension to have their loan repaid. If they truly do want control of the club they will say no and if they money is not repaid by...

I don't think anyone has a clue whether MSP actually want to take control of the club in the state we are in anymore than 777 do.

yes i think the Esk tells us this on twitter 14 times a week that they haven't got any money. He always conveniently forgets that the people with no money have been lending it to us for months and keeping the lights on.

    2023/24 Nathan Patterson

Sadly i think at this moment the only way he gets in the team is if we are playing a back 5 with wing backs. I think next year he needs a loan to play week in and week out.

Wonder if this time the premier league will appeal, they argued for them to get 8 points according to a tweet from Martyn Ziegler.

i think for the most part the loans Vaughn has sorted out for the youngsters the last two season have been positive. Couple of bad ones but that will happen.

Would you like Graham Potter in to replace Dyche?

Graham Potter with this set of players would be an absolute car crash. Would surely be relegated. Stick with Dyche until we get to the new stadium. Then we can make a decision.

i saw that earlier and put a smile on my face. Never have cared for most of the stuff The Esk peddles on twitter.

    2023/24 Neal Maupay

Hope he continues to score goals because ultimately that's good for his sale price. Even if Brentford don't take up the buy option someone else certainly will want him.

let his current contract run out so we don't owe tottenham anything, then offer him a pay as you play deal with an eye on ripping it up for a new deal if he plays well.
