In 1893 the Liverpool Football Association sat to determine whether Liverpool or Everton got to keep the Liverpool Senior Cup after a controversial end to their final. They judged that Liverpool should get the trophy.
You just knew Murder Inc...
That is correct. However, the ref decided that play should continue once the Senegal team returned to the pitch. That was wrong. So now I think the whole issue is between the proverbial 'rock and a hard place'...
The more I think about this, the more ridiculous it seems. The fact there is no mention of sporting advantage is pretty remarkable. Especially given how important a factor it was in the findings against Everton and Forest.
These illegal payments...
Currently rewatching the Palace game in the PL archives for some reason. The key differences between that Everton and this Spurs are:
1) The Everton players are utterly desperate to save the club. The mistakes they are making are almost from...
The more games run out for them the higher the pressure.
If west ham, burnley and notts forest can pickup wins and soon, then actually sitting in the relegation slot should bring it home to the support that they're in the mire.
Sad that these players who earned the right to play at a World Cup won’t be able to compete.
Now allowing inferior teams who did not earn the right to take their place due to an illegal war by the host nation just seems wrong.
But we are where...
Iran have just totally ruled themselves out of participation in the World Cup.
Not exactly surprising news..
Just time for someone else to stand up now..
I think it has to be viewed in the context of the last 15 years. Whilst bigger clubs like Villa have gone down, Tottenham are one of the richest clubs in the world now, have a modern state of the art stadium. They have somehow become a 'top 6'...
But also does it not show up the absurdly mediocre & bloated nonsense of the autumn league thing. I reckon most EPL teams would qualify for the CL knockout phase now.
Could be replaced by Wrexham who were non league a few seasons ago!
What odds would you have got on Wrexham ever being a division above Spurs a few years ago!?
