Initial 10, then reduced to 6 + 2 Point Deductions

BBC News - Chelsea fine: Was Premier League punishment lenient? - BBC Sport

This really is a grim read.

Chelsea pretty much undented with a £10m fine but a £1.5bn squad

"...the Premier League board did not appear to even consider a points deduction in the case of Chelsea, despite the "deception and concealment". Indeed, it referred to a two-window transfer ban as an "appropriate" punishment, had the club not self-reported and co-operated. ..."

As much as he’s a basket case I hope the Forest fat Greek kicks off because little old Everton won’t.

Why would they? It’s obvious they are content being in the league like most clubs. Masters was even in attendance at the last game at Goodison.

Nothing changes as long as the money keeps flowing. It’s not a competition it’s a product these days mate.

Ok Buddy, point taken.
Whether it meant they would have broken PSR or not, their punishment in relation to ours is lightweight at best.
I’m still fuming with Masters and the PL for the way we were treated.

It seems that the narrative created by the PL here is, PSR is be all and end all, until it isnt. Do fraudulent dealings and utilise outlawed practices to improve your team all you want, just dont go over this threshold.

Another thought is, if they have been so demonstrably fraudulent with their outgoings, how can they be so sure of the validity of their incomings?

They set aside £150 or something aside from the sale for in the case of fines due to this issue.... I wouldn't mind betting that they have £140m of wiggle room for this years final PSR calculations.

Lets not forget btw, that the FA investigation on 74 charges is still ongoing. They could yet be hit with a points deduction.
There would have to be if there is any sort of justification for yesterdays ruling.

But as usual , as with City's ruling I wont be holding me breath.

This instituion is way more corrupt than we ever thought it was.
I hope there's lawsuits being penned as we speak.

I mean, why couldn't other clubs sue Chelsea over loss of revenue due to placement at that time. Spurs finished 2nd in 2016 6 points behind Chelsea. You're saying those players didn't have a material impact on league placement?
There is supposed to be a rule that PL clubs cannot sue each other.

No-one seems to have told Burnley.

Have seen a leak that the FA are likely to follow suit and inflict only a fine.

They did put £150m aside for fines etc. Once all deductions are taken, the balance is given to Ukrainian charities: the club in effect don't have to pay a penny themselves. So (to make matters worse), each fine imposed reduces the money going to Ukrainian charities.

Trebles all round in the Chelsea boardroom!
