Tottenham Hotspur

It's odd how some of their fans have more or less given up when there's a quarter of the season left and they're not even in the relegation spots.
Yeah, I can’t fathom this.

It’s one of two things, I think.

Either - they haven’t appreciated that fans can make a difference. Perhaps they don’t think their fellow fans have the same fire in their bellies that Evertonians did so no groundswell of resistance is forming.

Or - they have just conflated ‘their’ Tottenham with its ownership and management and want to see the whole lot burn. We were able to see the difference between Everton’s ownership and what the club is to us - and rally behind the heart of the club.

Either way, it is pretty damning of their fanbase that the aren’t rallying in the way we did.

It seems we’re just very different clubs. 🤷‍♂️

stuck up snobs that believed the hype around them being elite?
having no connection to recent relegation battles has made their predicament a novelty not a serious problem?
blinded by still being involved with European competition that the 'meat & potatoes' league stuff is just oh so passe?
having priced the working person out of attending, all that's left are the prawn sandwich late out after HT bourgeoisie, and they can't be relied upon to rally against anything besides not cold enough champagne.

It's funny because the west ham owners have purposefully spited their core fans, and spurs are doing similar.

I think their biggest problem is the number of flat caps worn by their balding, middle aged fanbase.

Just a bunch of Guy Ritchies.

I think this holds some merit. Even though they finished 17th last year, they were thirteen points ahead of eighteenth, so there was no real risk for them.

Mix in their European success, and perhaps complacency set in? A false sense of security? Yes they're now 16th, but there's only one point in it.

West Ham have a little bit of momentum, Forest have a decent enough squad and Leeds (above them) will scrape enough points.

There situation is far more perilous, however last year's position should have set the alarm bells ringing. If the fans aren't up for the fight...

Home end aside, there are a lot of hospitality/premium seats in their stadium. Not exactly conducive to creating the bear pit atmosphere needed for a relegation battle.
