agree, so many examples u can think of. bournemouth’s alex scott was signed 3 years ago, and wasnt exactly pulling up trees till recently.
or mateta only came good in his second year.
we need to be patient as we are not in the market for the...
It's hardly unknown for players to be underwhelming in their first season, either at a new club or specifically in the Premier League, only to come good. Pires and Son Heung-min are obvious examples. We've seen that being patient with managers is...
Spurs win this one, if the universe has to make a sacrifice between Spurs and West Ham, it's gonna be West Ham (who were robbed of a point yesterday btw).
They do have a quality snide in them. Know how to work refs.
They made it obvious to all about the foul and basically gave VAR no choice but to look.
Keano and tarks would have just argued between themselves
He has clearly been a good acquisition for us but I think he's been poor this season.
His lack of pace , concentration and wasteful in possession have cost us dearly and he's only going to get worse.
Keane isn't great but he's been better than...
I believe we'll see the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford bring in multiple players pre World Cup (deals agreed) who go on to outperform anybody Everton signs this summer.
Goes without saying he's been a success for us this season. I said above I like him.
But he's just short of that consistent quality that makes a top class player.
And sadly we are not at that level to attract players who are top level. We do have a number of very good players who if coached and handled correctly could go on to be a top class players. But that is for another argument.
Have to wonder where the season would have gone if we'd have used him alongside Garner as an 8.
He was fantastic there in the few games they played together and Garner looked more settled as well.
In the advaned / 10 position an Alcaraz...
Ndiaye was away at AFCON so that might be a factor but the rest of them should have energy to burn. They've barely played a game a week since Christmas.
I’d say N’Diaye always looks tired late on. The rest are fine, it’s their game management which is shocking - dropping deeper which gives us much more running to do when we go forward.
