2025/26 Adam Aznou

The honest truth is that no one has a clue whether he is going to be any good or not because the manager refuses to even contemplate playing him.

The same can be said of Dibling.

So, that's £50 mill worth of assets being unused and consequently being devalued.

I'd be fuming if I was the owner and spent that money.
We only see them in matches, whereas Moyes sees them in training. I'd say he's probably in a better position to judge than we are.

Regardless, we still have wasting assets.
So you either blame the manager for not playing them or whoever signed them...which might also be the manager
It's hardly unknown for players to be underwhelming in their first season, either at a new club or specifically in the Premier League, only to come good. Pires and Son Heung-min are obvious examples. We've seen that being patient with managers is usually a good thing. Surely the same applies to players? Look at someone like Khusanov, who looked completely out of his depth when he first came, but has been really good lately.

agree, so many examples u can think of. bournemouth’s alex scott was signed 3 years ago, and wasnt exactly pulling up trees till recently.
or mateta only came good in his second year.
we need to be patient as we are not in the market for the likes of cunha or isak whom u expect to deliver rightaway

To be fair to Mateta, he came good when they got rid of the negative pragmatic manager in Roy Hodgson.

Thankfully Moyes is not negative at all.

Sure, just like how Dyche saw OBrien in training and decided he's not good enough to get any time on the pitch. Just like how Moyes Mk. I saw Barkley make a mistake and instantly shipped him on loan and likely would've as well if it wasn't for Martinez. etc. etc.

Managers have favourites for sure and make mistakes with selection because of it too. Moyes has the bonus of being among the most "safety first" managers in the league, so yeah, Aznou or Dibling or anyone can pull up trees in training if they want to, they're getting game time almost never, as the other options have 'experience'. Case and point is Rohl, who was barely given a chance when available and it turned out he's quite alright in the end - sometimes a chance is what players need, not 4 min off the bench twice a season.

I'm not saying Moyes is the Messiah. I'm saying he knows more than all of us jokers.

I guess I'm the only one who sorta has a problem with him being in Barcelona the same day as an Everton match.

I guess if he was told he's off no matter what and he can do what he wants, that's one thing. Otherwise, not a great look.
