2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Because Moyes doesn’t utilise his squad.

He runs players into the ground and then if he does make subs he throws them on for a minute of extra time - like Charly today.

KDH is goosed. Charly off the pace as he’s barely stepped on a football pitch all season. Then he wonders why there’s such a drop off. Idiotic
One game a week with international matches off and he's goosed. Probably fortunate we won't get European football.

They look dead on their feet by the 80th minute. I agree they shouldn't be, but they certainly look like they're goosed.
All the midfield and “attacking” players look dead at 70/80 minutes. So there’s little shielding done for the current inadequate back four. Hence why we have conceded so many late goals recently.

That and the fact there’s too many that are mentally soft.

All in all, for me it comes down to Moyes not using his squad properly.

Think that’s a harsh assessment of him personally. He was taken by Chelsea who were a top club, and binned off by them (but so were Lukaku, Salah and de Bruyne). Agreed it wasnt his best performance today, but he has been one of the few successes of last summers awful recruitment. Under a different manager and played as an 8 I think he could be even more influential for us.
Are you putting him up against de Bruyne? I probably wouldn't.

Should have about 4-5 goals than he actually has.

Over the season he's bang a success, but that doesn't ignore the fact he's had more than a handful of absolute stinkers, yesterday of which was definitely one.

He was probably brought in just as much for his character as for his actual ability.

He's not the quickest though, is he? But that's been a common problem at Everton for almost two decades.

He probably should have 3 or 4 goals less than he actually has. His conversion rate is among the best in the league if you're just going goals per shot. It's up there with Barry and Beto funnily enough, but those two have done it on much higher quality chances on average. KDH has managed to produce that level of finishing without the chances being all that good which is fairly rare.

Another way of looking at it would be overperformance of xG which KDH is second highest in for players with 5+ goals this season behind only Harry Wilson, another player having a season well above what his usual production is. This goal total is exceptional for what KDH is bringing to the table each week and we're probably never seeing it again. It's a shame we wasted it.
