Summer transfer window.

West Ham could be in big trouble this summer if they go down, they've already borrowed against future income with Rights and Media payday loan interest amounts.

Surely they're going to have to be putting up anyone for sale if they do

Yes, I watched that podcast with Purslow and Winter, seemed to think they have a massive financial hole to fill. Said they have spent £685m on players in the last 4 seasons and are due to make payments of £110m this summer on those players, so it gets significantly worse for them if they go down.

They would probably have to sell 2 or 3 big assets if they stay up, if they go down its more like a massive clear out

We won't be doing much/any business before 1st July as we will presumably need our business to be done in the new financial year and the World Cup usually interferes with everything as well - that's a problem that won't affect just Everton.
I believe we'll see the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford bring in multiple players pre World Cup (deals agreed) who go on to outperform anybody Everton signs this summer.

I dont understand why we are being linked with CB's like John Stones and Diao from FC Midtjylland. We have 4 CB's already. I could understand it if Keane was out of contract, but he just signed an extension. Brathwaite is injured, so I cant see him leaving and Tarky and Obrien play regularly, I cant see either of them being sold.

Hopefully its just media nonsense. I imagine we will be linked with every west ham player in the summer, it looks like they will go down now, but even if they dont, they need to sell to hit the new Squad Cost Ratio's. I would take Malick Doiuf from their squad, he is a proper attacking fulback. Moyes will probably want Bowen and Soucek.
Big No for me that Douif. Just looks so clumsy.

Seeing as West Ham are down now and will badly need to sell, absolutely no excuses not to go and bring in several of their players who would unquestionably improve us. Starting with Diouf and Summerville—21 and 24 years old respectively.

Saying that, we're probably ten times more likely to get Soucek and Wilson instead.

You think if we got that conference league a load of previously uninterested players would suddenly be telling their agents to bell us ?

I’d have loved to get the conference but I can’t believe players would be anxious to Larnaca, olomuc or wherever else . The champions league certainly attracts players but pretty sure the conference doesn’t have the same pull.

I think you are right, Champions League pulls in the top players, but having Europa League and Conference League still attracts players. Players want to play football and win things. All those players at Palace and Villa now have a chance to play in a European final and potentially win a trophy, which not only brings financial bonuses it puts them in a shop window, where clubs that are in the Champions League and fighting for titles look at.

It was clear from some of Moyes comments last year that having no european football at all was an issue when talking to players and agents, probably more of an issue because 9 premier league teams were in Europe last season, who can all offer the same wages we can.

Feel like many players are playing for their futures and a i suspect the manager and club feel the same

If im being totally honest, the last 4-5 weeks have been damning for a lot of our players, we threw away points Vs Norway, West Ham, Cith and Everton and that is on the players and squad.

If they cant get us were we need to go we need move a lot of them on, even if they are "ok" or "I dont mind" or if "they could only _______ they'd be a top player".

We need to be ruthless and have winners.

Players have bottled it in recent weeks in my opinion.

Moyes Out.
Barry Out.
Keane Out.
Gana Out.

For me that's how we clean this slate after the season ends.

Next Season New Manager, JOB and JB as CB's, new RB, New LB, new Striker, Grealish on Loan, and we are flying.

Easy stuff this Football Manager.
Agree largely with this but am now thinking JOB is not a solution for CB at all. He is not dominant in the air despite his height and is slow and passive in general. So think we need 2 new CBs, as well as Branthwaite and Tarks.

He's 21 and starts for his country — who are no slouches. Got a full year of Premier League experience under his belt and already has his attacking game nailed down. A strong, pacy fella, he could easily be moulded into a strong defensive full back too.
Starting for his country doesn't really mean anything, there are plenty of good players who don't play for their International side and plenty rubbish ones who do. If you view West Ham forums then I don't think they concur that his attacking game is nailed down. He is a good crosser but they mostly allude to him needing loads of time when he's on the ball as he's pretty poor with it and clumsy. His defensive game is poor also. He's very very raw.
