i know you are just trolling DionDublin, but I'll still respond. What I am saying is that Neville and Osman are playing for "footballing" reasons - as form on the pitch is far more important than a players rating/ceiling.
Though I rate Arteta much higher than Osman, and Heitinga higher than Neville, such "ratings" mean nothing if it doesn't translate into form on the pitch (individually or for the team). And in those comparisons, right now, I'd much rather have Osman and Neville playing as they both seem to have some nice benefits in lifting the team.
If Arteta find's his form and desire to play for the blues again, I'm sure he will get better and I would much rather he be playing than Osman. Right now, that is just not the case though (hoping it changes tomorrow). When you see Arteta half-assing it around the pitch and demanding to take freekicks from Baines, and not pullling his weight, it is detrimental to the team. On the other hand, when you see osman running like a madman, sticking challenges, and showing his effort and passion, it brings up the whole team.
So while I agree that no footballer should play for non-footballing reasons, the things like leadership and passion ARE footballing reasons in my opinion.
