Shocking. Honestly, I don't think Kenny, Davies and Calvert-Lewin are ready for first team football at this level but they've all actually been regular starters at different points this season. Says it all about our plight.

I think its the right approach in general, i think you need to look at young players a bit like a puppy farm, it can save you 10's of million if you get a good one, but if they dont make the grade they need to be fattened up on loan to make you money, raise there profile and sell them off. Chelsea have made an industry out of it. Its all lost its romance really of local lad doing good etc.

Davies is very young in my opinion, i think he has something unique i think he has struggled a bit in his second season but i think you have to make an allowance for that, he has already proven full tilt he can effect games at this level with lads 10 years his senior. Its been poor that the club have had to rely on him so much at this stage of devlopment and being in a team low on confidence. Remindsme of a young Robson and he will make it with loads of headroom for development.

Kenny i think is a good player, but unfortunate to be around at a time when you want so much more from full backs, hes ultimately limited in my opinion, could be good back up, hes a more stylish Hibbert, good defender and ok going forward but not exceptional.

DCL, is one of those players that has everything but end product, will ultimately be a Shane Long stretching teams or a Big Vic battering ram, i just dont see him breaking 15 goals in any PL season. pity because if he could finish he would be the brightest prospect in the league.

I think you need to consider young players carefully though and give a bit of scope up to 23-24. i think its dangerous to have just a generic send out on loan and sell them off approach its to open to error, for example look at Chelsea they could have a team containing KDB, Salah and Lukaku now.

I wanna game, I wanna game, I wanna play for my Everton and get paid mega bucks. I will try and try and run and run and run til I burst, Can I have a game please? Surely I am worth a try? I can't pass or shoot or tackle very well, but bejabus I will try and try and run and run and run til I burst.
He’s fkn terrible isn’t he mate? A total embarrassment.

You could look at it another way though. They have both been regulars for 2 seasons for a team who have finished 7th and (probably) 8th. So its fair to say they are good enough at this level and just maybe not quite ready for us to push on beyond that.

The thing is though, I think all three could have started every game for West Brom this season and it wouldn't have helped their cause. We're 8th in the league in spite of playing these youngsters rather than because of them.

I dont think people appreciate how difficult it is for them to come through. For every Rooney we will have countless cases like Anichebe and Lundstram. If Davies, Kenny and Calvert-Lewin are still here in 5 years time then fair play to them. It's far from nailed on though in my opinion. Unfortunately a lot of our supporters think if you're under 21 and have kicked a ball for the first team then you're good enough. That's a mentality we need to shake because it doesn't happen at top clubs.

needs a spell out on loan next season I think

player has regressed, probably winning young player of the year for us got to his head and he think's he the dogs boll....

truth is he is average, he is probably worse than the midfielders in teams like Bournemouth and burnley

yes he has energy which is great but he has no end product.

Don't know about rot, which is a bit unkind. Just keep him well away from the first team if we want to progress a few places next season. Him and a few others who were found out this season need to be assessed by the new manager as to whether they are worth keeping or not. If Sam stays I don't thing Davies will get many games, except as a sub, and I am not sure why there, unless it is for his energy.

Yes think maybe a loan may be best for him to see if he can progress, burst on the scene and I thought looked OK, nothing special for me but as fans do we raved over him and maybe he believed the hype. We do tend to over-estimate our youngsters when in say under/23s/18s then when they get a shot at the firstteam we slate them as not good enough. I still think scouting lower divisions is worthwhile but we all want the next exotic foreign signing as that's what everyone else is doing.
