......I think he had his angle wrong for their goal and left a nice big space for the lad to roll it in. He did this once last season, apparently losing his whereabouts and an open goal for the attacker.

Those as old as me will remember how Gordon West would scrape marks on the corner of the 6 yard box to get his angles right. It was only half a yard but last night Robles made it easy for Navas.
so did our corner kick taker Leighton Baines why o why ios it he who has to seemly take all our corners even on the right leaving a massive hole in defence on the left if he hits the first man as per usual a team like city can counter attack - no one ever covers the whole he leaves on the left also his corners are pants -Please let a mid fielder take the corners or Delboy or KM - or Cleveley - Robles was out of position but it was 4 v 2 at one time - I am sure Coleman hurt his calf running back too as he started to limp while he was on the run hopeless tactics, by RM!
When do we ever score from a Baines corner since his return he had a great game last night but never a corner taker for the reasons above??????

Howard makes loads of quality saves to be fair. People have just stopped seeing them in favor of looking for when he doesn't come off his line or pass the ball out well.
Robles > Howard on today's performance mind, but if that was Howard today he would not be getting the praise Robles is.

over his career he has - he hasn't done anything positive in 2 years bar the wolfsberg games.

robles threw the ball out to Coleman in the second half, it was a terrible ball and put Coleman under pressure and I think we got a throw in out of it. Coleman turned to Robles and give him a mouthful and you could see he wasn't happy, what made me laugh was Robles turned to Coleman and shrugged his shoulders as if to say do better next time not my fault.

Sometimes you need GK who is arrogant and even over confident to the point nothing is his fault
Special breed GK and I the Robles has some of them qualitys to go on to be a good GK

he just laughed it off. To be fair, i don't think the throw was bad at all, coleman had plenty of time, he just stood a bit static. player have this common nature to blame others though, always blaming refs when they mess up etc.

what 5 on here in a Brigade?
By the way has mlyons been banned too as he has gone quiet after trolling me for a week over how great , and how poor Robles was with all the stats?lol
I posted twice in this thread yesterday, actually. I'm very glad Robles played well, and happy the defense in general has looked more solid the last couple of matches. If Robles is good enough, I'd be happy to see Howard go to the bench in favor of him, but I ultimately trust Martinez to make that decision more than any of us.

I still don't think Robles is our long term starting goalkeeper, and I really hope we try for a top tier one in the summer, but I honestly don't care whether he or Howard is our starter for the rest of the season, as long as the decision is made based on who Martinez and the coaching staff think is the best fit, regardless of what the vocal Everton supporters say.

Totally agree, Navas would not have scored against Cech (for example) who excels in those types of situations. Robles is work in progress, but warrants an extended run in the side.

Well I got told you were banned?
You can still not admit a young 25 year old Keeper v a top top side is better than Flapper Tim Coward!

You should be banned for trolling me - poor Doug!lol
It must be that you disappeared after Robles great performance, the stats you have shown tried to prove he was a poor keeper the poor keeper was thankfully chewing gum on the bench where he should remain for the rest of the season!

This will give Doug some time to rediscover reality. He's spent years of his own free time posting stuff he doesn't believe and now that commendable energy can be put to productive use.
It looked like he was acting daft to me by not staying on subject, he seemed to forget to spell the name ROBLES on a Robles thread, He will be back no doubts been told off before for the same thing!
Probably could not stomach the stick he would get on this thread after super Tim was made to look past it, by a Keeper with no match practice!lol
