This will give Doug some time to rediscover reality. He's spent years of his own free time posting stuff he doesn't believe and now that commendable energy can be put to productive use.
It looked like he was acting daft to me by not staying on subject, he seemed to forget to spell the name ROBLES on a Robles thread, He will be back no doubts been told of before for the same thing!
Probably could not stomach the stick he would get on this thread after super Tim was made to look past it, by a Keeper with no match practice!lol

You should be banned for trolling me - poor Doug!lol
It must be that you disappeared after Robles great performance, the stats you have shown tried to prove he was a poor keeper the poor keeper was thankfully chewing gum on the bench where he should remain for the rest of the season!
But I didn't disappear. I posted in this very thread.

What do you want me to say? I couldn't watch the match because I was working, so I could only listen to commentary, but it sounds like Joel did very well. That's fantastic. I hope he does even better against Dag & Red. If Martinez decides he should start every match for the rest of the season, I'll be fine with that. If he decides to go back to Howard against Manchester City next week, though, I trust his decision.

Well I got told you were banned?
You can still not admit a young 25 year old Keeper v a top top side is better than Flapper Tim Coward!
You got told I was banned by someone who isn't a mod and has decided he dislikes me almost as much as he dislikes Howard.

Many on here do not - you seem to be out of step read the last ten pages on this thread!
For some reason only RM has to pick an over the hill Keeper in the Prem as it is we lose valuable points - You never seen Robles last night he is quick off his line his distribution is better, he is more agile - He needs a run in our team as our defence v. Very good forward line looked far more comfortable!

As I've said before, Martinez has every reason to pick Joel -- he's younger, he signed him twice (one of his very first actions as Everton manager, actually), the supporters clearly want him to. There has to be a reason he's consistently picked Howard, and I don't buy conspiracy theories about clauses in Howard's contract guaranteeing him starts. Martinez obviously hasn't thought Robles is good enough up to this point. Maybe yesterday will change his mind. I don't know, and neither does anyone else who posts here. I'm still going to trust the guy who's watched Robles more than anyone else in the world over the last four years, though.

I trust my eyesight, and 55 years of watching the blues!

Another good solid game on Saturday and I'm hopeful he will get a game against City next week.

Give him some minutes and a run, if he isn't up to it Howard comes back in and we look for a new keeper in the summer.

If he has a solid game against Dagenham at the weekend, no point in even dropping him.

Fingers crossed mate. Just his stature and frame alone is a positive imo so let's give the kid a run and let him get an understanding with the back line.

It could really be a make or break decision the decision Martinez makes regarding this position because if there's a few a more mistakes from Howard which are costly the vultures will be circling around the manager. If Robles makes a few mistakes at least we can say the manager has tried to change things at the back.
