My apologies sagey, thought we were all fuming about our defending. TBH I'm not bothered about not scoring from set pieces, but I am VERY concerned about conceding from them. Our team is set up to score goals from open play, and when we're on it we do it very well with most of our victories coming from margins of 2+ goals.I was on about an attacking sense.
But defending its obvious we need to sort it out, preferably by shipping starjumps back across the pond
I don't think there can be an excuse for not working on defending set pieces though. If we don't think corners present enough goal-scoring opportunities often enough in the course of 90 minutes to practice them that is fine, but we have to respect the fact that our opposition will be practicing to score from corners and we must do better at defending them.
