Mark Hughes is absolutley everywhere - im sick reading about 4-5 comments from him a day - the current media darling.

Can not wait for ten games into the season when the press have the knives out for him and see if he is as media happy then.

*Looking more and more like father ted by the day.

I think the media is just playing with him to be honest, mate. Let's face it, no-one expects him to ride out the season. I think when the bad results begin to pour in, he'll be humiliated in the papers.

WTF has Mark Hughes ever done as a manager?

One of the most over-rated footballers of his generation is now also one of the most over-rated managers.

I'm sooo happy its seeming more likely that he's going to stay, I almost got laughed out of here when I signed up abou 3 weeks ago...how times change hey....still it could happen of course, but it hasn't yet, that's all that matters to me at the moment

Can't believe I read somewhere that Hughes wasn't happy with Everton over the Lescott saga...Moyes said give me 30m and he's yours, and he didn't did he!?!.....We're not saying he's a 30m player as such, every player has a differnet price in terms of how close they are too the end of their contract, how much the club wants to keep him etc....pay up or shut up Hughes. Sorry, but you can't have it all...

Mmm, just coming on here to post that as well. Conspiracy theorists, start your engines...

Added: note that the story summary on the News category section starts:
EVERTON are bracing themselves for a third bid from Manchester City for defender Joleon Lescott

Tis a strange article....it does say we knocked back Stoke's 3.5mill bid thought...

Eff me we could've got £11mill for flogging 2 injury prone players...

Great minds and all that. I was about to post the same information. And while the world and their cat waits to see if Lescott makes a formal transfer request, the Echo, being about two weeks behind talks about a third bid, which you'd have to say is very unlikely.

Isn't the local paper suppose to be more accurate, more club friendly and certainly more up to date than the likes of the S*n? Or have I missed something?

Agreed . Hughes has this horrible slimey look on his face like he has just shot his load or something . He badly needs to get in line and actually do something . Starting to seriously dislike him .
