I do also like Lundstram and think he has a lot of potential

You see I think they are different kind of players, McCarthy is your old fashioned number 6, tireless running, closing down, ball retention, nothing flashy, see ball, get ball, pass ball, thats not to take ANYTHING away from him, hes got a job and he does it mostly to utter perfection. I see Gibson more as your number 8, not as mobile, but a wider range of passing and a good little crack from 40 yards, cant wait to see them both in the middle together.

There's no reason that both Lundstram and Ledson can't both be in the squad
If anything, Francisco Junior will be the one getting a bullet put in him to make way for the pair of them
Ledson plays higher up the pitch naturally than Lundstram anyway

I doubt Lundstram will make it considering he couldn't even make the starting 11 in League One last year as a 20 year old.
I'm looking forward to seeing Gibbo this year. He will have the benefit (the same way Barry did) of having our Ginger Perpetual Motion Machine alongside him, and he can do what he does best which is pass the ball, forward and fast.
