If Azzuri had said what he said about McCarthy and not Gibson, I would have agreed with him

I think McCarthy is better than Gibson even right now in all honesty

You see I think they are different kind of players, McCarthy is your old fashioned number 6, tireless running, closing down, ball retention, nothing flashy, see ball, get ball, pass ball, thats not to take ANYTHING away from him, hes got a job and he does it mostly to utter perfection. I see Gibson more as your number 8, not as mobile, but a wider range of passing and a good little crack from 40 yards, cant wait to see them both in the middle together.

There's no reason that both Lundstram and Ledson can't both be in the squad

If anything, Francisco Junior will be the one getting a bullet put in him to make way for the pair of them
