is it ??!

Im not arsed what he does, and im not even sure I beleive that he did that.

People rarely believe what they don't want to - (see Suarez and biting on Liverpool forums)

"Alcohol makes players far more subsceptible to injury, they increase the chances of strains and tears due to dehydration and poor nutrient absorbtion/recovery."

Oh so that's totally proven in humans now is it? Last time I checked that was theoretical based on some previous experiments on rats?

ha ha yeah, Ethanol is only a poison to rats... Humans? it makes us stronger...

To be honest mate, im not that bothered if he did do that.

I know an ex pro who does much worse, and I have seen 2 former and 1 current International snort beak.

Im not arsed 1 bit.

Not doubting the rest about his ability, but I do believe my mate when he said he was hammered and behaved like an absolute tool. He was supposedly trying to regain fitness at this stage.

Are you aware of the fact that Gibson, immediately after his injury, flew a friend of his over from Ireland purely to chauffer him into training for whatever length of time it was required, so that he could ensure he had full diet control from the staff, and a fully focused training regime in order to return to full fitness in a short a time period as possible. Or are you and your mate confusing an entire fitness regime and return from injury over a period of circa 10 months, with a night out?

Are footballers not allowed out, or do they earn too much to spend time with friends?

I'm not calling your mate out, he may be sound, but I have seen a few occasions where people call out footballers, or other sportsmen and say they are tits etc, and it generally starts with the accuser acting like a bell.

Meh, at least he's not doing anything illegal, unless he drove himself home from the boozer of course

So long as it doesn't effect what he does at work, I don't really mind what a player does in his/her personal time, provided they don't get themselves or the club in trouble

Footballer's are allowed a bevvie y'know?

If the club had as much of a problem with it as yous then they'd ban the player's from drinking

Yeah that's all well and good mate but he's got pictures of Gibson in a pub and he's not afraid to post them!

Some people find that Alchohol makes them more irritable, and more likely to over react. Maybe his mate was leathered and has blown it all out of proportion.

Who knows.............. I dont........

wow my mistake for calling out a player who got stupidly leathered and was abusive whilst undergoing rehab for his knee.

He's a great passer, and all that.

Oh come now

He's good, but he's not THAT good

Sometimes Gibson is just so massively overhyped in certain circles

He's decent and very good at what he does, but he's nowhere near one of the best CM's right now and he certainly won't be when he's 2 years older

He's a solid option in the middle of the park whom, when he's not injured, can contribute well to the team. But he's not an exceptional talent. If he was, he would have never left Man United

He's just good, nothing even close to bad, but not amazing. He's a good player who gets hurt too much, and hopefully he's managed to nip that aspect in the bud
He's extremely good. He's not best in the league good, obviously, but his talents are always downplayed and hes always thought of as an alky with legs that splinter at the first sign of contact. When he had that run of games where we just didn't lose, he orchestrated so much of our good play, bought the ball out from defence and got us in behind teams.

Are you simple? You just said drinking makes you much more susceptible to injury which is just BS. Also you make out there's a clear and large link to muscle recovery/growth etc
Well, it doesn’t work like that. Rats and humans have major metabolic differences, and in vitro findings don’t always pan out in vivo.
In live humans,
muscle-wasting effects of alcohol have only been seen in chronic alcoholics. If you have 7+ drinks per day, you’re going to have trouble building muscle. And walking. And remembering your name.

I just don't see him as THAT good

He's solid and dependable (When he's fit) and I'd never been annoyed to see him playing, but I just don't buy into this idea of him being so amazing that yourself, Azz and a few others seem to have
Its his ability to manipulate the ball more than anything. His passing range is exceptional. And I think he actually reads a game better than he's given credit for. He's a proper midfielder.
