dude, shouldn't your name be 'born not manufactured'?

'made' kind of implies it is manufactured?

It always struck me that "born" a blue equally implies lack of free will. I personally "chose" Everton, albeit with a cousin's influence. That's got to be better than merely having no choice but to be Evertonian.

You do not choose Everton. You are special, you were chosen. trust me. That's what makes us Toffeemen different.

The Born element should not be viewed as a lack of free will - more an immense stroke of luck !!

The fact that you "chose" is testament to you as an individual for which you should be commended and embraced fully into the fold by those of us who were lucky enough to get that quality start in life.

If everyone was born an Evertonian then the world would be a dull place. The fact that the "dont matter" category of person still exists and we give them something in life to aspire to has to be a good thing for mankind in general.:D:D

That's true, in a way. It's not a lack of free will in any meaningful sense that I was born human, and couldn't chose to be a cat, dog or horse instead. So yeah, being "born a blue" could be equated to being born superior. And clearly, a superior being with a liking for football, would automatically favour it in its form at Everton.

Ashley coming out and begging for a sale we may lose our rich Indian methinks unless all the unrest by their stupid fans have made the barcodes a terrible option for anyone.

I heard today that the Indian looking to buy into Newcastle has dropped all interests in them and has swapped his attentions to Everton.

A reporter on BBC 5 live's drive mentioned it in his reports, and quickly seemed to check halfway through as if it may not have been strong enough for public knowledge or he wasn't meant to be saying it. Didn't get mentioned in any other reports either. I am only guessing.

But he definitely did say that he had swapped his attentions to us.

Thats right. Too much unrest at skunk palace right now. Who in the right mind would want to buy a club thats run by it's fans. A buyer would own the fixtures and fitting but wouldnt own the club.

Am I alone - after all the stuff on this forum and at the EGM this summer - in seeing some irony in this remark?

Isn't Barca run and owned by it's fans?

Barca is owned by the fans, and Newcastle is run by the fans - big difference.
