So we have 5 players this committee identified and all agreed on who can't get a look in or look way off it. Aznou, Rohl, Barry, George and Dibling.

Bodes well for the summer this.

The fact that the only ones who have started most games and are playing well are KDH and Grealish will see the "PL experience" agenda being pushed again imo. The Wilsons, Souceks, McGinns etc

I think it's likely that the transfer committee signed off on players with the view that Moyes would be gone in 2 months. Now that he's apparently here longer term it does throw a wrench in things

Then it changed so you had DOF model with ultimate accountability - Moyes/we got rid of that.

We can hire as many head of or director of titles as you like, but there's no bloke in a suit deciding we sign Tyler Dibling and poor Moyes is passively accepting it.

Nobody comes in without the manager. His own words, the CEOs words, and decades of understanding who the manager is.

Trying to portion good signings to the manager or bad ones, depending on your agenda is beyond tedious - I understood it when we had a Director of Football - we don't anymore.

You'll give credit to Moyes for Seamus Coleman, or John Stones and not some shadow recruitment team at the time. You can't switch that when it suits.

Whose making this point though - i didn't?

I said the administration and manager aren't aligned in terms of recruitment - that's played out in what i posted above in terms of the players we have signed and their lack of mins and influence on games and results - the point im making is the tranfer strategy of the club and what the manager feels he needs now are evidently two different things and its led to waste.

Im not particularly bothered if its Moyes calling the shots or the committee and i doubt its that black and white - but i want whatever players we sign to have an influence on games and results and that's clearly not been the case with most of who we invested in last summer and we aren't a club who can afford to do that IMO.

That alignment needs sorting, before we do the same again heading into a new window.

Wilson
Soucek
McGinn

All Moyes targets in the last 2 windows.

Oh dear.
McGinn is actually an excellent player, but turns 32 at the start of next season, so we should not be anywhere near him. Wilson's knees are jelly. And Soucek is a sorry excuse for a footballer. He pops up with important goals but he cannot even move.

Moyes banging on in that press conference about how you need players like him is terrifying to me. He already has a squad of huge players. Why on earth would he need more? He shoehorns JOB at RB constantly to get an extra tall player on the pitch. Has supposedly declined many FB options that have been put to him for lacking PL experience and height 🙈

Where does it end?

The latter attitude is awful and he’s hated by all of the Chelsea squad.

TBF that doesn't necessarily damn anyone; they're like the Dutch national team: full of thoroughly dislikable big heads who cant knuckle down to a bit of discipline.

Maybe Delap sees the way they act and calls them out on it?

I'd take Delap in a heartbeat over the Cowardly Lion we have up front for us right now.

Dave, one of his own teammates (Pedro) was dropped the other game for apparently calling him **** in front of the rest of the squad, they can't stand him, he is pony mate.

If Moyes is here in summer we will defo be signing Delap.

Pulled out all the stops last summer before he chose Chelsea and he won't have changed his mind about him after this season.

Would love to be wrong, just seems extremely likely to me if Chelsea are getting rid.
Given that Iraola is being linked with the job there I could see a move for Delap as Iraola will want someone a bit more mobile imo, I could even see him getting a tune out of Jackson. Whoever we bring in we simply must increase the supply line to them otherwise it's a pointless waste of time.
