Laughing, he wasn't there last summer. Maybe he needs to speak to his friend Angus, who'll inform him how Moyes will kibosh every name.
Reckon Billy McKinlay, Leighton Baines and Alan Irvine will have as much input as all those names.
I think it's likely that the transfer committee signed off on players with the view that Moyes would be gone in 2 months. Now that he's apparently here longer term it does throw a wrench in things
Then it changed so you had DOF model with ultimate accountability - Moyes/we got rid of that.
We can hire as many head of or director of titles as you like, but there's no bloke in a suit deciding we sign Tyler Dibling and poor Moyes is passively accepting it.
Nobody comes in without the manager. His own words, the CEOs words, and decades of understanding who the manager is.
Trying to portion good signings to the manager or bad ones, depending on your agenda is beyond tedious - I understood it when we had a Director of Football - we don't anymore.
You'll give credit to Moyes for Seamus Coleman, or John Stones and not some shadow recruitment team at the time. You can't switch that when it suits.

Santiago Castro
Troy Parrott
Liam Delap
McGinn is actually an excellent player, but turns 32 at the start of next season, so we should not be anywhere near him. Wilson's knees are jelly. And Soucek is a sorry excuse for a footballer. He pops up with important goals but he cannot even move.Wilson
Soucek
McGinn
All Moyes targets in the last 2 windows.
Oh dear.
The latter attitude is awful and he’s hated by all of the Chelsea squad.
Dave, one of his own teammates (Pedro) was dropped the other game for apparently calling him **** in front of the rest of the squad, they can't stand him, he is pony mate.TBF that doesn't necessarily damn anyone; they're like the Dutch national team: full of thoroughly dislikable big heads who cant knuckle down to a bit of discipline.
Maybe Delap sees the way they act and calls them out on it?
I'd take Delap in a heartbeat over the Cowardly Lion we have up front for us right now.

Not sure about any of these three.![]()

Given that Iraola is being linked with the job there I could see a move for Delap as Iraola will want someone a bit more mobile imo, I could even see him getting a tune out of Jackson. Whoever we bring in we simply must increase the supply line to them otherwise it's a pointless waste of time.If Moyes is here in summer we will defo be signing Delap.
Pulled out all the stops last summer before he chose Chelsea and he won't have changed his mind about him after this season.
Would love to be wrong, just seems extremely likely to me if Chelsea are getting rid.
