This season isn't any different to what I expected.

It's felt good to be safe in mid table but the football is joyless and we could've been right in the mix Europe/Cups with a more positive approach.

It'll be about the same next season.

And maybe the season after that if he gets an extension.

We've got no control who TFG have as manager.

So many people on here really need to give their heads a shake.

We are off the back of some of our worst ever years, carrying the worst managers we’ve ever had and a conveyer belt of atrocious players on astronomical wages. We have had one summer transfer window to fix all this and that was a false start.

All season we have been wildly inconsistent and we have never really looked like a team capable of Europe, apart from a few fleeting moments.

The last two games have been massively disappointing and have most likely ended any idea of Europe now (city up next). Hopefully we can finish top half and I would view not as a bit of a failure. But not a hanging offence.

We need a proper summer transfer window this season as the squad is still largely bottom half material. There can be no valid excuse not to get the fullbacks we need and a decent striker. Them and few other pieces then if Moyes is still labouring then criticism of him deserves to stick. At the moment this squad is only marginally better than the past few years.

If we don't get European football, finish bottom half and don't give any development to younger players, then this is a totally lost season.

Still chuckling at the fact that people actually believe that replacing around 10 players who left by spending 100m on 8 players means we should automatically be doing better.

It simply doesn’t work that way.

We should be doing better when you consider the bulk of the 100m was spent on a kid from Southampton who we seem to think isn`t ready for the PL and a striker who looks like he`ll never score in the PL.

I’d take any of these over Moyes.

I don’t understand the strategy of handing a manager with one year left on his contract, a transfer budget to bring in his players if he’s going to leave in 12. You either have to hand him a new contract (not for me), or say thanks, pay him off and get someone longer term in and give them the funds to bring their own players in.

How much more would people be looking forward to their summer holidays knowing an exciting new manager was in place, a manager with a reputation of playing exciting attacking football, armed with a transfer kitty? We’d all be eagerly awaiting new signings whilst sitting on the beach.

You’ll probably even get more people interested in renewing or getting a season ticket rather what we’re currently hearing, people looking to give theirs up!

The “football” we play is rancid. If we’re being asked to fork out ever increasing prices to go to games, then the least you want is value for money and to be entertained.

And he had the keys to the kingdom at United and lasted 10 months. With a world of transfer targets and United's warchest at his disposal, his opening gambit was Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines. Talk about short horizons. Both fine players, but that sums him up. Conservative.

That’s transfers unfortunately, not all of them work.

I’ve already pointed out Newcastle spent 100m on wissa and elanga - gone backwards.

Our neighbours spent half a billion nearly - gone backwards.

Spurs spent a fortune - still turd.

Isn’t that what we needed this year and even next? Realistically do you think it’s wise to roll the dice on someone else when our foundations have barely started to mend?

I don’t trust the new owners. They have done nothing to gain my trust. Just more yanks ruining our game. And our CEO is the ultimate middle manager blagger.

I hear people want Ireola or Glasner or whoever. I don’t see it here. I see trouble as nothing is in place to support such appointments (doubt they would come anyway) We are still scatter gun Everton in the transfer market.

Well it has, hence us being 3 points off 6th.

Other teams spent money too and are also entitled to improve also.

He improved us on a team on its arse under Dyche. It went stale and the only way was up.

We then invested for the first time in a long time, the chaos off the pitch has gone and we sit 11th in Moyes first full season. Dyche earned the points for 12th. Hardly big strides.

If I had hope in the manager and could see some bigger picture plan like signing players we were developing id have patience, but I dont and I can't see it. Besides, I know Moyes. My opinion has long been determined.



Proven mediocrity then over giving it a go?

Said it before and I'll say it again. Hes our Roy Hodgson. Palace dont achieve that they have recently with him.

If you say so mate. If this was Iraola who'd taken us from a relegation battle to a chance of qualifying for Europe within 12 months then I reckon there'd be a different reaction. One of which the overriding feeling would be that he needs time.

I see the faults in Moyes. There's a point he can reach and we can say that's enough, but we are a long way away from that and I hope we let him build.

The last thing I will say is that West Ham were in a very similar position to where we are now when they called time on Moyes. How confident are you our next two seasons will go better than theirs?
