I get your point, but we've just spent almost £800m to have the 6th (fractionally above 7th I think?) biggest stadium in the Prem. Not really sure that is some great triumph a lot of people make it out to be, but it's certainly no negative.Yeah, something else I like about them. Consciously under the radar.
Bloom's move for Hearts is clever, almost guaranteed CL qualification year in year out of he gets it right for a club run on buttons.
He and Benham have brought cheaply and built brilliantly as you say. I wonder what they fell out about?
What this means for TFG and EFC is tricky. If we assume The current top 6 isn't going anywhere, with Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton carrying NO DEBT and with excellent recruitment, a long term 6-9th berth for EFC is a very respectable target, however underwhelming that sounds.
The difference is is we have double the attendance...
Some of the old guard may not like to hear it, but both these clubs credit their main focus on using data systems as the main driver in their recruitment, not the ‘eye test’ and legions of scouts.Benham & Bloom are far and away two of the most underappreciated, highly intelligent and astute operators in football. They should be lauded and applauded for what they have done and they way they have done it. Yet you never hear a word mentioned about them. It's always "PIF this" and "Ratcliffe that" and "BlueCo the other".
Maybe some truth in that, maybe a little excuse making. For whatever reason, bottom line is, in ~35 years of being in the Prem we've really only ever had 1 'elite' out-and-out No9 striker IMO. It would be great if we could find an Thiago-type gem in the summer, but I'm under no illusions about how inept recruitment has typically been at this club.Injuries messed him up, ditto Louis Saha. Both very good strikers.
So yous get rid of Beto who do you bring in and how much do you spend someone must have a name
sounds like that Greek girl on Onlyfans I told the wife I've never heard of.....![]()
Shouve your [Poor language removed] London your arse

The latter is still needed of course, but it’s clear we still are behind the times when it comes to recruitment drivers. There’s no way Barry was a static anomaly (which is what Brentford and Brighton look for)
The Daniel Levy approach. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be gazumping them. They've stepped up since Frank left. They have a very happy knack of unearthing decent forwards.
Should just stalk their scouts and gazumped them.
Horrible ground, horrible pitch, horrible fans, horrible fouling team with league one style. Overachieved but get rid asap.
dwight mcneil has the speed of an astronaut on the moonI’m glad we’re seeing open play goals again. Past few years we had to rely on set pieces and even those were wildly inconsistent. We’re definitely getting there.
I’d keep Beto and sell Barry, and it’s not even close tbhThe Brentford chap said Beto is undervalued because of the positions he gets into.
Meanwhile some fans would flog him for £10mil.
Barry's having his first season in a Moyes team. Very hard to judge centre forwards under Moyes.
Beto 1 year on his deal, Barry looks way off.
I think we'll move Beto on for £20mil and sign a first choice.
Bloom has transferred it into horse racing too. Genius.Benham & Bloom are far and away two of the most underappreciated, highly intelligent and astute operators in football.
