Benham & Bloom are far and away two of the most underappreciated, highly intelligent and astute operators in football. They should be lauded and applauded for what they have done and they way they have done it. Yet you never hear a word mentioned about them. It's always "PIF this" and "Ratcliffe that" and "BlueCo the other".
Yeah, something else I like about them. Consciously under the radar.

Bloom's move for Hearts is clever, almost guaranteed CL qualification year in year out of he gets it right for a club run on buttons.

He and Benham have brought cheaply and built brilliantly as you say. I wonder what they fell out about?

What this means for TFG and EFC is tricky. If we assume The current top 6 isn't going anywhere, with Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton carrying NO DEBT and with excellent recruitment, a long term 6-9th berth for EFC is a very respectable target, however underwhelming that sounds.

The difference is is we have double the attendance...

Absolutely spot on.

In our entire Prem history the only decent goal scorer we've ever had was Lukaku who was here for 4 years was it and still tops the goal scoring charts. I don't know if any team in the Prem has been as consistently bad at finding goal scorers as us, yet some how we find ways to either scrape over the line or punch above our weight.

Would Barry & Beto honestly start for any other team in the league week in week out? I doubt there'd be many.
The Yak says hi

Bit of an in and out up and down performance today, chances to win it but also could have lost it, probably just about a fair result and credit the Blueboys for hanging in there and grabbing the point👏👍

I agree with this. They just a way of restarting the game and shouldn't be a tactic to score. The emphasis on throw ins and corners is killing the game.
I mean, they absolutely can be a tactic to score, but implement a time limit rule so it doesn't kill any momentum from the game. It's depressingly boring to watch right backs jogging all the way across the field, putting the ball under their shirt for 5 seconds to dry it, direct their players where to move, shuffle a few yards further up the line, then finally take a run up and throw the thing.

10 seconds would be fine, but currently it's abysmal.

Not sure why we looked so leggy today considering we’ve just been on a warm weather training jaunt….maybe it was bricks in rucksacks up and down the sand dunes?

Something needs to be done about the time taken for throw-ins. Every time their long throw expert had one he took 30-40 seconds each time. 40 throw-ins during the entire game.

Obviously not every throw was 30 seconds, but probably a third of them were.

That's about 15 minutes of the match gone waiting for players to take a throw in, which is absolutely woeful for match-goers.
That is terrible. I'm all for timed restarts and getting injured players off pitches etc.

Would this be the same Yak who in his final 3-out-of-4 years at the club managed a whopping 4 goals in 14 games, then 5 in 25, then 1 in 14?!?

He was basically the Nigerian Haaland, wasn't he. Amazed he doesn't have a stand named after him.
Injuries messed him up, ditto Louis Saha. Both very good strikers.
