I think its incredibly sad that football is reduced to data and with AI will be making the decisions (as Benham has pretty much said). Takes the humanity out of the game. But it appears inevitable. Its smart and soulless.

IF?!?!? Today aside, Ndiaye has been a superstar since coming here. The only thing that would astonish me more than there not being a queue out the door for him the second the transfer window opened is if he was here next season.

I’ve got this nagging feeling that city are going to try and come for him and they might try and use Grealish as the carrot. We take a reduced fee to get Grealish for free. They get Grealish off their wage bill and add an asset that’s worth £20-30 million more then they pay for him

Beto will be 29 during next season and a contract extension will see his value dropping year on year.

The time to sell would be this summer.

Surprised if Moyes keeps him.
I said it time and time and time again. Barry is the one of the 2 to get rid off. I would 100% keep Beto, he is way more of a team player and trys and gets involved and works for the team

He and Benham have brought cheaply and built brilliantly as you say. I wonder what they fell out about?
Hi @smileychap

My understanding of the fall out coming from the equine side of thing is as:

Bloom owned Premier Bet and taught Benham all he knows, behind Blooms back Benham set up his own rival betting company Smartodds using and copying everything Bloom had taught him. Benham was put on notice with a gardening leave action also attached, but when Bloom found out that Benham had virtually copied Blooms business model he fired him and took him to court, and Benham settled out of court. They allegedly detest each other, which is sad really for grown men to still hold grudges going on 23 years and counting but hey ho.

Regards

Good game to watch, a draw was a fair result. I thought Beto was very good, he's winning more flick one now and managing to keep possession when the ball is played to him.
Beto scored a proper No 9’s goal which is not something that he’s done much of until recently. He established position, bested the CB, and put the proverbial “thumping header” past the keeper’s reach. This would have been a bridge too far for him some months ago.

He’s quietly been one of the best strikers in the league in 2026.

I mean, they absolutely can be a tactic to score, but implement a time limit rule so it doesn't kill any momentum from the game. It's depressingly boring to watch right backs jogging all the way across the field, putting the ball under their shirt for 5 seconds to dry it, direct their players where to move, shuffle a few yards further up the line, then finally take a run up and throw the thing.

10 seconds would be fine, but currently it's abysmal.
Not for me. Throws are just a way for restarting the game. Stop long throws into the box and game would be better to watch.

Ironically, City is the one side I don't see coming in for Ndiaye. As good as he is, he is a bit too "same-y" when you look at the players they have. Time will tell, but I'd be baffled if the likes of Bayern or Arsenal don't have him top of their transfer list.

As for Grealish, I don't think that deal has anything to do with Ndiaye's future. He typifies the extent of our transfer thinking and I have no doubt we'll happily meet City's ~£20m asking fee for a player whose probably not even 3rd choice in that side. (Whether he takes a massive paycut is another issue).

He's not consistent enough for City.

4 open play goals this season, and has been largely poor since the African Cup of Nations, which was almost three months ago. On his day he's brilliant, and he's clearly our best offensive player, but the likes of City want the finished article, whereas he's ideal for us as we look to move into a consistent top half side.

Semenyo for example had 9 goals already this season for Bournemouth before City bought him.
