Absolutely spot on.

In our entire Prem history the only decent goal scorer we've ever had was Lukaku who was here for 4 years was it and still tops the goal scoring charts. I don't know if any team in the Prem has been as consistently bad at finding goal scorers as us, yet some how we find ways to either scrape over the line or punch above our weight.

Would Barry & Beto honestly start for any other team in the league week in week out? I doubt there'd be many.

which we will address in the summer

we have the worst strikers in the league
and goals win games

and yet we’re doing well

imagine with a proper scorer who knows we would be?

tarkowski asking for hand ball?

comes off thiago body, deflection. first brentford player to score over 20 goals in a season. koyode with the initial shot.
Matthew Benham and Tony Bloom were part of the same company, and have built their businesses along similar lines.

So whilst data led recruitment brings in the likes of Caicedo, Thiago etc we've got Rohl, Dibling, Barry and Aznou & only one has had any serious time kicking a ball in months.

Lessons to be learned here. Right now it's pretty flat with Bournemouth also in it.

Our run in leaves a bit to be desired, but we're bang in it. Beto needs to keep his scoring boots on.

I feel like the long break came along at the wrong time for us, with Brentford slowing a bit of late. Why does it always feel like that?!

Benham & Bloom are far and away two of the most underappreciated, highly intelligent and astute operators in football. They should be lauded and applauded for what they have done and they way they have done it. Yet you never hear a word mentioned about them. It's always "PIF this" and "Ratcliffe that" and "BlueCo the other".

I was told last week that there was a recent Premier league game with just over 45 minutes where the ball was in play. That’s diabolical.

The average back in November was 55 minutes, yet that’s declined apparently.
Shocking. What's the point of going?

I read a few months ago they're looking to introduce a 5-second rule for goal kicks and throw-ins; if a team fails to take their throw-in then it's awarded for the other team, and yellow card if goal kick not taken in time.

That would be a great improvement.

That said, you know it wouldn't be officiated consistently.

Something needs to be done about the time taken for throw-ins. Every time their long throw expert had one he took 30-40 seconds each time. 40 throw-ins during the entire game.

Obviously not every throw was 30 seconds, but probably a third of them were.

That's about 15 minutes of the match gone waiting for players to take a throw in, which is absolutely woeful for match-goers.
I agree with this. They just a way of restarting the game and shouldn't be a tactic to score. The emphasis on throw ins and corners is killing the game.
