I can see bth sides, its not a case of not wanting CL football.
But for me, i want a trophy win

Surely having Champions League quality players gives you a better chance of winning a trophy.

Hopefully get the Champs League spot. Even if we struggle we get dropped down into the Europa don't we?

If that Spurs team can qualify for the last 16 then so can we. Its about keeping the core of the squad fit. That's the key.

Nothing to do with their CL run though... just the fact they have had a lot of injuries plus zero character and togetherness within that squad.

No I want him to stop changing a winning team and throwing away cup games.
Plus playing a teenage CM on the wing when we have wingers on the bench…

Why is this the example? It's an anomaly really, isn't it? Teams generally don't qualify for CL and then get embroiled in a relegation battle. Let's not forget that Spurs only got in the CL through the back door.

No one would want to be but their predicament started midway through last season when themselves and ManU tumbled down the league. Thankfully we're on a different trajectory.

Nothing is ever perfect. There is no perfect. We played our strongest team against Sunderland and lost on pens. I think you need to get over it.

We said this when we last qualified for the CL and Moyes signed Phil Neville and Simple Simon Davies.

Moyes spent £179m at the start of the 22/23 season and this was the table after their first 26 games in the Lampard/Dyche season.

He did get them to 40 points in the end & won the Conference League but it wasn’t straightforward for him.

I personally think Moyes is a good manager at making the best of what hes got, but his issues are primarily in being allowed to chose his players. Thats a good example of that. His expensive transfers have rarely worked out, instead hes gotten more traction from the less expensive lesser valued players he makes better.

Its not a pretty transfer history post-ManU, and he(and us) would be best served by someone else being the primary decision maker on transfers. Right now we are challenging for Europe with pretty much Kevin Thelwells squad, with only 1 of our 9 new transfers playing.

I think if we let someone else make this summers decisions, he can lead this team to the CL.
