Europe Thread 25/26

Since my earlier pessimism in the predicted table was so poorly received, I've done a revised one (without the RS game vs Palace) based on the largely encouraging events of this month (and I do still think Spurs will survive!):

I have us on 58 as well but i think 6th will require 60+

6th would be an excellent finish and give us something to cement next season.

I'm not sure what "alternative structural solution" is, but you'd hope it's been cleared by governing bodies and we wont end up having to fight it.

I find it amazing that they're going to even risk going down an avenue where they think they have an alternatove solution. The simplest and most obvious solution was to put the club in a blind trust, its what other's have done to avoid any such scenario.

There would be absolute kick offs if we made Europe and were kicked out and Roma were kept in due to those at the top not taking all available precautions to ensure that didnt happen

No thanks, not yet anyway. We would get eaten alive in the CL at the moment Zat. Even if we went and had a mega spend in prep for it, Moyes would have to change his entire ethos in certain games, some matches we would have to go on the front foot and make a game of it and against decent teams. I don't think we are quite ready for that yet.

The 17th best team in the league strolled through the group stage, even after a disappointing knockout round don't underestimate how good all the PL sides are compared to much of Europe. Even if we did struggle you can't turn down the money and the prestige of CL qualification. In any case still highly remote.

Sure you can't turn down the money but Spurs are also used to playing in the competition whereas we are not. Just think we need to probably do the Conference (which we should win) first then look to push on, our team/squad is still fairly weak in terms of a Euroball squad.

And Spurs are currently 1 point off the drop. Our squad isn’t ready for CL and PL.
